Seems like there will be proper Klay scene, but he's not sure if this particular background setting could fit properly or not so he decided to talk it there.Klay is an ex-mercenary and he's a war survivor. His mindset is mostly you have to be strong to survive. He met Naito during his time as mercenary and saved Naito's life. Naito is loyal only to him, not Tactics or WU in general. Finished the Seekers audiobook. That was 18 hours well spent, I really liked it.Even though the story was predictable for the most part somehow I didn't see the big twist that Ryusenji covered up his daughter's death and for 20 years dangled the false hope of a cure in front of Tartarus to send him down the Gendo path coming at all. At first I thought he had her euthanized, but later it sounded more like her comatose body eventually just crashed? I don't know, I may have zoned out for a bit and missed the explanation. Either way he was such a fucking psychopath about it. Mocking Tartarus for having wasted half of his life to save his love not knowing that he never had a chance was brutal.On the other hand her physical death is quite the convenient excuse to take the Agumon that contains the remnants of her spirit as his wife. Congrats, senpai. You did it.I appreciated that most fights were these big set piece action scenes with many moving parts until the final battle at least. That was such a letdown. The Leon vs Eiji showed that it's possible to do a one on one that isn't just about who shoots the stronger beams. Eiji coordinating with his three Tyrannomons, playing with environmental hazards like turbulences and barriers, building strategy around time management. That was fun. I really would have preferred something like Fenriloogamon, Kazuchimon, and Ouryumon biding time to let Tartarus hack into DexDorugoramon and create a security vulnerability for them to exploit. I get that this was Eiji's time to shine but boy it was boring. Ryudamon in particular was done dirty. But yeah, I liked the fights. Animation never ever. Commandramon, HiCommandramon, Cargodramon, Brigadramon - working as a squad - with movie quality animation - never fucking ever FUCK.
