Her blaster doesn't do a ton of damage but it can kill Recruits, and it pops people out of cover or can finish them off if they barely get around a corner and try to heal. Her prime resets heat and gives you a shitload of mobility - the problem is the really long activation time, I've yet to find it particularly useful for pvp since I'm always playing solo, I just use it either for running the fuck away (you'll get way further than anyone chasing you that's not another Vandal) or getting to Final Exfil since again, nobody crosses the map like Vandal does.

>All the gooodies you can get from Outposts wingsIf no one knows how or what to do here you go Anons.On Outpost there are three wings, the least annoying is the wing that's been destroyed; on each broken floor of the wing, as you climb up is a red button you can destroy and once you've destroyed all four it opens up for you (there's a small, rectangular... street light above one of the shielded entrances you're trying to break open)The other entrance is a lot more of a hassle and anyone can get it working. Around the map you'll find a little chest with a digital number, open it and you'll get a keycard, use those keycards on, what are basically reskinned Exfil Towers with numbers on them. In every named area on the map take the keycard you found in the chest to the number tower in that keycards location - now there's a number of other keycards you can get, there's a small security office, there's always one or two in the bathrooms dotted around the map and so forth - those for all I know and understand you can just brute force and see what towers they'll turn on.Once all of that is done you want to go to the area where you do your first Sekiguchi Contract - there should be a number tower there - here's the thing, this isnt tied to you, its tied to everyone so its whoever gets to that tower first even if you got the most keys for the other towers. Now you go to the garage door just next to that specific tower with three to four waves of UESC troops - the elevator will open up before you need to finish all the waves but there's a chance the last wave will have one to two purple or yellow UESC units so you could wait and kill them for goodies BUT you're already telling everyone where you are. Then you have access to two full wings.Inside the structure there are handpads in every wing, I have no idea how many there are or where they all are but someone in one of my Fill Groups said if you can get them all done the center area opens up...

playing like a rat is pretty much the only way to successfully exfil in solo. I've been camping all day, only engaging to oneshot kill and loot then back to camping. there's no real incentive to play any other way since you exfil with the loot someone else spent time gathering. PvE events are too risky since it's tuned for trios and ttk is <1 sec so if you get caught first you die

One of my favorite things about Marathon, as opposed to ARC, is that the give up timer is longer. In ARC, even if I kill someone point blank, the finisher animation is longer than the give up option, so they can deny me my finisher. In Marathon, even if I have to run up a bit, I get the satisfaction of the finisher. Feelsgoodman.

If Snoy were smart they would retain a small section of Bungie staff, integrate them into the Snoy Blob, and treat this game like it should be treated; a niche success with a modest revenue stream. Take the L, keep the game up, and make at least some money from it. But that's not what's happening in the gaming industry right now. If you're owned by one of the Big (healthy) Boys and you don't produce a gigahit, you're fucked and your game is shut down. I would be very surprised if Marathon survived the year.

I'm glad it did, but I can't actually believe this game made it to market. This is not a indie/low-budget niche project, it's a several hundred million dollar game made by one of the biggest AAA studios in the world and it's a hardcore PvP title with no safeguards or onboarding. This is tarkov with funding and good servers (60Hz, baby) AND robust anti-cheat. There's a reason this sits at 90%+ positive

I think I may be soft locked on Traxus' "Equitable Distribution" contract. The core loop is uninteresting and frustrating to most players, and the content schedule is looking very anemic at best with Season 2 only coming with a night time version of an already existing map. Its more likely to bleed out from lack of content. They are trying to make an MVP game where they can sustain it with minimal effort with constant resets, they aren't doing an Extraction shooter because they like the genre or think its interesting... otherwise they'd have tried to actually really make it stand out. But Marathon is basically just the most bog standard shooter with the most common extraction shooter elements. Bungie is notoriously an expensive company to run and a $40 game with terrible performance compared to what Bungie used to have is basically the omen of the apocalypse for the studio.
So it's basically impossible to breach the pinwheel solo unless you do the thief trick or go the back way (which everyone is doing solo)

I think I'd be a lot better at Destroyer if I had a bumper jumper controller layout for his thrust, problem is that the moment I switch to any other class that becomes an issue. Vandal needs to hold down her arm cannon button so LB works fine for that, but switching it to holding A would fuck me over. Any suggestions?
