Why would I want to buy a 150000+ greataxe whose gimmick is centered around a 23 DC fort check when most enemies will have fort saves in the 50s by that point of the game? I feel like a lot of the equipment is purposefully nonviable for their price just to bloat shop inventories and make it more difficult to find the actually good shit. Basically, obfuscation because frustration = difficulty.

So, I'm trying to do the broken hills quests in Fallout 2. Does the order of the quests matter all that much?I'm trying to blow up the mutants, and also get Marcus as a companion. If I try to turn in the conspirators before blowing up the air purifier, then it doesn't give me the option because there's no one to give the signal. If I try to break my co-conspirators out of jail again, they won't leave, just calling me a traitor and all that. If I had found the dead people in the tunnels before breaking Jacob out of jail, then would I have been able to go through with breaking them out anyway?Am I just trying to get too much out of this? Of course, I wouldn't expect Marcus to be all buddy-buddy with me after doing this, but there's always hope that the game doesn't account for this sort of interaction.

Then, after prologue i manage to cause a crash while interact with a candle in neighboring house from where you wake up(pick related). I kinda lost it after it, cause the game not allow you to save freely and losing progress second time for such short period was too much.
