I don't really know anyone who likes this newer direction for the franchise or IDW. At most you have people defending it because it's queershit or because they like playing the devil's advocate or because they find the OCs hot.

Actually the end of Frontiers proves that Sage isn't a physical construct because Eggman was able to recover and recuperate her from a blast that completely destroyed her physical body. So even if you want to say she's physical, by the game's own logic in the Eggman memos, she isn't. She can be easily reuploaded elsewhere.

The classic games revolutionized the 2D, level-based platformer. Just a right amount of speed, level gimmicks, enemies, thrills, ect to keep the player hooked. There’s plenty of secrets/items to collect to keep each level feeling unique and rich with depth. The music is timeless, and the best in the franchise and the classic’s general presentation reshaped the gaming industry forever. The stories were kept simple and fun, characters were all charming and unique without the need of layers of compacted pretentious dog shit on them to make them relatable to edgy 12yo's who think characters like shitver is "deep". Sonic 3&K is the best example of this. This where Sonic peaked (and eventually again with mania). It's filled with fun gimmicks, set pieces and level design that takes advantage of the momentum based gameplay the formula has amounted to. Moderncucks saying the games haven't aged well are on full cope mode since it either boils down to skill issue to genuine knit picks that have been addressed in future remasters/ports. Im not saying the classic games are flawless, nothing is perfect but they are masterful works of art that has set a highbar of quality for the games in this franchise and modernshit continues to fail to live up with half assed gameplay, cringe and directionless lore/storytelling, and shitty throwaway gimmicks/playstyles that destroys the game. One thing that always seem homogenous with modernshit is that there's flaws that sticks like a sore thumb, (werehog, mech shooting, automation, ect) the list goes on. Modernfags will always sweep this under the rug and say (good enough!) when this franchise HAS done better. I despise modernshit for the irreparable damage it has amounted to the franchise like Sonic boom, 06 and Shadow.
