I've seen quite a lot of people wish Edward Deegan was a companion, but if you travel to Parson's with Jack, you get an actual experience of him as a semi-temporary companion. If given a more interesting fighting style outside of whatever gun he had (10mm?), and expanded on his unique backstory in a more one-on-one setting, Jack could've been a pretty interesting companion.

One thing I loved about New Vegas's faction plot that is missing from Fallout 4 is the minor faction endings. In some endings to NV, you can basically get a BoS ending in all but name, since they can retake Helios and control the routes surrounding the interstate. Sometimes you can even get an ending where the Boomers get the most positive outcome. Fallout 4 doesn't have anything like that because not only does it not have ending slides, it has barely any interesting minor factions. Who wants an Atom Cats ending? Do you even remember the Atom Cats?
