People here bitch about silvaze and silver being shadow/shadria ripoff, but shadria and shadow in himself is the ''dark'' version of sonamy and sonic. silver being the ''light'' sonic also applies to silvaze being ''light side of sonamy'' in that even if time/space/sacrifices happened , they still couldn't be seperated and reunite. sonic series is about shipping in the meta way.i'm not saying any of this is executed well, mind you, but it thematically fits with what has been established since sonic cd. and speaking of time/dimension stuff, since japanese terminology of it is similiar (is classic sonic past sonic? parallel world sonic) silver might have something to do with whatever SOL dimension is. 06's place is very obviously designed with references to sol world in mind. so blaze's inclusion was probably very early on planned.everything stems from sonic cd.

You know, all these things, the four great civilizations, thee Sol dimension, Babylon, the future, I think Sonic Team had loose ideas on how to expand on them. They'd done that before with the echidnas and the ARK, introduce an idea and expand it in later games, so I think at that point they started doing it more intentionally. I think they had some ideas they would have explored in a Silver game, an SRA followup, or whatever game they would have made instead of the version of Unleashed that we got. But instead those plans were cut short, and now those idea are being explored by western writers, probably without the context of whatever Sonic Team considered or was inspired by back then. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing as long as they handle it well and make good stories, but it's sad that we'll likely never know what they may had originally considered
