The worst part is that those early camp scenes literally have recorded dialogue for Wyll and Karlach but you can never hear them because the camp scenes are cancelled if you actually go to recruit these companions. Karlach has dialogue for 2 camp scenes and Wyll for 1 that cannot be experienced unless you use a mod to teleport/force recruit them before moving away from the beach.

Gale's personality is really not that far apart from Wyll's, they're both just kind of bland good guys, Gale merely leaning slightly more towards neutral. I say this having liked both, Wyll falls kind of right in between them, changing his personality slightly depending on how you end his quest (pact or no pact, duke or Blade) which is more than Karlach who knows what she is and what she wants from start to finish, and has slightly more initiative and force of personality than Gale, whose dilemma is essentially between getting tempted by power for power's sake (fucking wizards) or just going along with what others want, and his whole backstory is just being a comfortable busybody who never had to worry about anything until recently.What I'd say Wyll was truly lacking was being more of a show off. His introduction doing a pirouette while yelling a catchphrase into seeing him trying to inspire the tieflings gives a very different first impression from what he ends up being. He's too humble throughout the game, and that makes him boring to talk to, even if his strong sense of justice makes him likable....really, through most of the game I was thinking Wyll would probably make a perfect paladin, he's got the exact personality for it.

Where the enduring confusion comes from is that magic items, scrolls, and tadpole powers would use the ability from the last new class as the spellcasting modifier - in this case, INT because the last new class would be Wizard. (Additionally, grabbing another level of Sorcerer after that wouldn't change this, because the last new class would still be Wizard.) Most players don't need to worry about any of this. First, because your Sorcerer still does Sorcerer things based on CHA, regardless of multiclassing. Second, because you either hoard high-level scrolls and therefore would rather dip into another class, or dip into Wizard for the ability to scribe Artistry of War and whatnot - spells that do not depend on your INT score. Either way, you're prevented from unknowingly fucking up your character.
