Thermals feel like such a trap after the nerf, especially on snipers. Every time I use them I feel like I'd be better off with a standard green scope. It has so many downsides it's hardly worth using unless you're in fog which you have no way of knowing before gearing up.

Do you think you have to have a certain amount of blood lust to play this game? I wouldn't say I am a carebear. I definitely fight and kill people. Especially if I sense they are in my way or if they might fuck over my objective by doing what they are doing. However, I find that I don't actively charge people if I know where they are AND they aren't in my way. So I will hear shots from some POI, look over and see the dude. I won't actively pursue him because I am doing something else. However, I know players exist that if they hear shots and even see a target, they will rush them. I just don't have the same blood lust I guess. I am also willing to prox chat and I only play solos

I imagine you probably get more confident players as you get higher in level though; I'm only level 30.

I think how centralizing the longshot is for geared trios fights is a bigger problem than just "oh I got shot and died in 1 hit :(" honestly. It's too effective at mid range and the precision rifles wind up not having much of a place beyond precision/shotgun being a much better loadout than sniper/shotgun. Hell the Volley Rifle is one of the best guns and you still barely see it compared to the longshot.

As a solo player, I don't mind being locked out of cryo but what I would rather is that they just let solos in along with the groups. Gimme a quick run down on trios. I have played strictly solo. I thought about trying trios but I am just really turned off by the vibe shift being in a trio. The game loses intensity and trades it for erractic "apex legends" legends style intensity I think. It just doesn't feel right to me. >>560872498I haven't crew filled but with a premade, it's generally just faster than Solos. You can clear enemies faster, you loot faster, and there's a lot less hesitance to make noise. It's much more common to hear another team coming and get into a fair firefight while solos is almost universally about getting the drop on someone. There's also the occasional Rook dicking around post-10 minutes and those are chaotic blood gremlins with no risk aversion, so longer runs can become fairly hectic.

Need some help with loadout methodology. Trying to figure out if I am over stocking. Normally my loadout backpack has 1 row of primary ammo in it. For my secondary I usually bring the V11 punch or some other bolt weapon and then 2 stacks of volt batteries. Then the meds. I normally bring 2 stacks of shield charge and 2 stacks of patch kit. A Self revive and maybe the mech repair kits if I go to dire marsh. Maybe a signal jammer also. Right now I only have green backpacks. Is there anything I should bring less of? or more of? Is the full row of ammo overkill? is 2 stacks of shield charge and 2 stacks of meds also overkill?
