Things went on like that for awhile, Marathon life consists of getting farmed and then more farming.Every so often a casual would show up at Cryo with fresh blues. The sweats kept at him, sometimes he was able to kill one, sometimes not. And thats how it went for casuals, that was their routine. I do believe those first maps were the worst of it and I also believe that if things had gone on that way, Cryo would have got the best of them
So far the gameplay loop of Cryo seems to be the following:>spawn>kill as many UESC as you can find>collect clearance>use clearance hack terminals>use gathered clearance to backdoor to another team's spawn>kill>collect clearance, you're expected to be either 3 or 4 at this point>loot secret rooms>possibly kill another team>collect batteries>collect coolant>do a vaultAm I missing something? It seems the only good loot is in the vaults, anything outside is hardly worth shit unless you kill a team with better stuff than you. In the beginning it's a race for which team can get clearance the fastest and get position on the others.

I was thinking I was going to drop the game after the wipe in two months but I'm just not seeing a reason to keep playing. The little tasks were okay motivation and reward but those dry up or take me all to dire marsh. The game just doesn't seem to want me to play it. Dire Marsh is honestly the worst map I've ever played in any game. It's impossible to have fun without a lobby of three friends who are kitted out for ranged battle. It's tedious and irritating gathering resources on.

I tried playing trios a few times. I made it to level 16 doing only solos. Here is how the games went.>Game 1Spawn in and say over mic "Hey, I will help with whatever quests you guys have." Nobody pings anything and instead just fucks around in South Station. Eventually a squad that had a sniper in it rolls up and wrecks us. I even pinged hauler earlier on when I felt no one was doing anything and they still didn't move.>Game 2Spawn in with a light green rarity kit. Shield and backpack etc. Team mates are both free kitters who full blown sprint towards hauler. We die within 2 minutes.>Game 3Try dire marsh trios. We spawn in and within 45 seconds we are in a fight. Got to fire maybe 2-3 bullets from my overrun before getting absolutely cucked from all sides. Look at team mate and he is looting white items in a shed. They hunt him down and kill him too.I am not sure that I like trios. I don't think its bad and I realize team mates can be shit or not but it just seems almost too chaotic. You spawn in and you can't get someone to move in a cohesive direction. It seems like some enemy teams are moving with seal team 6 levels precision too. What do you think is better? Solos or trios?

They need to drastically tweak the time on Cryo if anyone is even going to think about clearing Vault 7 eventually. 30 minutes is not enough time to get all the stuff you need.For context, Vault 7 is located in labs. Just to even get to the area that has the elevator, you need level 2-3 security clearance. Then you need anti-virus packs just to survive in labs. And before even going up you need at minimum 7 batteries, a filled cryo coolant, (which you can only get by killing a drone in steerage and taking it to the center of the map), and a vault 6 contraband key.Did I mention the Vault 6 entrance is guarded by a boss Warden IN DATA CORRUPTION along with countless turrets and bots. If you somehow get past all that, you open vault 6 and are greeted with the vault 7 door which you need a vault 7 key for. God knows where that is.By the way this is assuming no players roll up on you or stall your time by playing hide and seek.This is probably the hardest PVE activity Bungie has ever made. I don’t even think the most hardcore players could do all that in 30 mins unless they got a LUCKY run.

Still waging. Has anyone tried ranked yet? Or really the rest of the game at all? I feel like I'm not going to have enough gear to play more than a few rounds of Cryo, and probably won't extract. So, I'll definitely be in the rest of the game most of the weekend. Maybe Outpost will be more free of the juicers because Cryo will be higher value, and I can get some purples going. Rooking might not be as lucrative though because less people are dying and leaving good shit on the ground.

So, my pro tips for cryo:- If you bring a heavy ammo gun bring plenty of ammo. Bots drop light/volt ammo fairly often.- Don't bother bringing in a self res, they drop like crazy in there- You should be safe to go loud until you get to the center of the map, then it's pvp central.- Don't forget to loot the bots for security clearance levels. Usually the shielded bots and commanders have them, I've also found some on ghosts.- I've only activated the central exfil terminal and it is not the actual exfil! Apparently you need to find it on the map and run there. You have 2-3 minutes to do so.- Use the scanner terminals, they will make important items visible on your hud/map- Keep a lot of time for exfil for your first runs. It's a big confusing map.

You lose your stuff on death but you can easily buy back everything you need, the game encourages you to do so and allows you to save your favorite loadouts, money is there just to balance the most memey weapons. You spawn in, search for clues, fight the other players, kill or steal the boss bounty and extract, if you die you can rematch pretty quickly. The game also got a recent boost thanks to marathon ironically.

Both times blue as I was too much of a pussy to bring my cards and bring my purples.I don't like the game. This map shows you why Extraction games will always be hot garbage. The map itself is not that big and what you have to do is not that complicated but the time limit + opposing teams artificially pad out the length of the content by getting you killed and setting you back. I'm honestly in the camp in saying that currently the map variety is okay and should generally get even more diverse if Seasons roll around. I'm more in the camp to say that the Low to Medium threat maps could use a few more options as things go along, with the ball crushers map content mostly staying the same with a few twists and turns. I have no qualms with Cryo being the culmination of the weekend struggle, as long as every map in the future isn't trying to step up from Cryo and instead has new sorts of loot and guns.

>>560996719You can already get a sneak peak for Night Dire Marsh right now; the upper levels of Complex that is.In the inner area of Complex, just after all the shipping crates and on the side that the giant elevator isn't blocked and roped off, there are two rooms on either side of the open-air hallway (below and further down is usually a UESC locked box that spawns in UESC to fight?) inside one of the rooms on the top-right corner of the glass there is a switch, someone else needs to go to the other switch (I never got to that one, someone else was at it, they said it was in the middle of crates) a smaller door opens up behind a coat closet and its a small elevator that takes you up to a storage room, it's small and there are a few chests in there but there are extremely thin, rectangular windows that allow you to barely peer inside and you can literally see the room from the cutscene on the other side.Probably one of the more fun little things you can do
