The game's timers have all been structured for you to log in ONCE per day - everything world-state happens at midnight, you're given about 36 hours worth of sanity, and your outposts take days to recharge. Except for the Assist system; if you log in late, your Assists will surely expire before your friends log in, but you'll be able to actually use their Assists. If you log in during the morning, your friends will get to use your Assists, but theirs will expire before you use them. The only way for MAYBE both of you to use each other's Assists is if you log in during the morning AND evening. But who the fuck would do that for a system that doesn't actually matter?And then there's the actual process of using them; I went, like, a MONTH before realizing that you had to actually USE them manually, clicking on your xp rooms and applying them. Because apparently there's some world in which I might want to just let them expire instead? It kind of makes sense for Control Room Assists, where I need to choose whose stamina to replenish... But for some reason, the xp rooms DON'T act like the Growth Chamber, despite not having any choices to make about how its used.And then there's the fact that it's tedious as fuck, going through five different loading screens and multiple different menus to do something that, frankly, could have been an e-mail. I mean, handled from a single menu on our OWN Dijiang instead of physically loading their ship every time.The system isn't, like, pure cancer or anything. But it really feels half-baked compared to the rest of the game.
