1. Set the game to use Steam Tinker Launch
2. When STL launches click "Main menu" then "Game menu"
3. In game launch menu tick "Use custom command" and select the exe
4. Tick "Fork custom command"
5. Tick "Inject custom command" and set the wait time to 10 or 15 seconds
6. You'll know it's working if you see the little injector window pop up saying it was successful

I camped out at extract on a megacity mission doing nothing but squid hunting with the recoilless, solo silo, leveller, and an MG sentry to keep chaff off me. I shot down 9 of them. I tagged a few bugs and titan holes with it. I only used it if I got separated from my actual support weapon or if I didn't have one. All things considered its a lot better than it was on bugs since it keeps them at bay to some degree which was nice for alpha warrior spam but I wouldn't waste a stratagem slot on bringing one myself.

Because normally the only people talking about people are those who are fully aware that it is undertuned, and contrarians who bait with claims that it is fine without EVER providing any kind of arguments to substantiate their claim. Here is an effort post about it. Copy from an effortpost that I made the other day.

The main ways that the epoch can hope to differentiate itself from its peers are though the fact that much of its damage comes from an AP5 AOE explosion, that it can provide rapid follow up shots, and if its low charge attacks hit useful breakpoints. Here are situations where it arguably can outperform something like a quasar cannon:
Low power shots:
>quickly destroying mortars/AA turrets or casemate bunker guns
Rapid follow up shots:
>killing multiple bot turbo laser towers before they can present frontal armor
>shooting down multiple gunships in attacks in quick succession
>destroying a factory strider that isn't presenting its head weak point with three shots to the ass or left/right flank
AOE:
>killing dropship passengers while they're on the dropship or immediately after deployment (the only time that the tiny AOE is noteworthy for crowd clear)
>attacking dragon roaches center of mass to splash and multiply damage output vs the wings

There's Spread X and Y as well as Spread Modifiers X and Y and I set all four values to 60 after trying the first two, seeing no difference, and then altering the next two to 60 as well.
Altering the modifiers to 60 and leaving the first two spread modifiers seems to have done the trick, though it seems kind of like the Trident where a lot of the shots go center anyways.

Ground pools applying DoTs is still broken but direct application of status effects is fixed. And that's what I said: "direct application", which is what the cookout does. As in the projectile itself imparts status effect onto the enemy.

Scavengers were one of the enemies that were immune to status effects beyond 90 to 100 meters from the host, and as you can clearly see in this webm a scavenger is being set on fire and killed by the fire DoT from the cookout while being nearly 200 meters from the host. I've been enjoying hosting games with pubs and subtly (and sometimes less subtly) swapping enemies over the course of the mission. Swapping Obtruders with Elevated Overseers gets hilariously ridiculous almost instantly and you have to very quickly revert before the game becomes nigh unplayable. For Voteless Masses, swapping heavy zombies with fleshmobs results in great blobby walking carpets stumbling cresting over the dunes and blotting out the rising sun.
The only problem I'm having is random crashes, even with no enemies swapped. Does this random crashing happen to anyone else, or just me?

It isn't magic.
Certain clips will have more shit happening in them which will either increase the bitrate for those frames or murder the quality.
Snowy, Sandy or dark biomes are great for webm-creation as not a lot of bitrate is required for the environment as it's just one big blob of the same color mostly.

Personally I use a (probably) retarded pipeline of editing the clip using "webm for lazys" (formerly webm for retards but reddit cried about that name so it was changed lol) to get the exact frames I want. Using Mp4 you can make the GPU do the encoding, which is both faster and better for your poor CPU. Make it super high quality so as not to lose detail for the next part.

Then I take the trimmed, cropped, overlayed mp4 and slap it into "Handbrake", which is another webm-GUI akin to "webm for retards", but made by the french. *spits*

In Handbrake you can choose the level of intensity on your CPU, which will greatly increase the encoding time, but also greatly reduce the file-size at (seemingly) no cost in quality.
Again, it ain't magic, lower filesize means less detail/quality. There are sacrifices, it's just a question of whethever it's noticeable.

Changing resolution also greatly helps against artefacting, but then you have a lower resolution (obviously).

Don't forget that weapons that meet armor pen levels only used to do 50% damage instead of the current 75%. This is why the Spray&Pray was genuinely unusable dogshit on launch since it had the second lowest AP value possible at AP1, which meant it dealt full damage to pretty much only scavengers and did half damage to everything else. I think it ended up with a 400% damage increase in practice between the AP buffs and damage buffs.

This is a simple issue that can be easily solved by actually playing and caring about the game. Muh AP4 maxigun will overpower HMG is just a bogeymen.
Maxigun already has A LOT of commitment to use. From the shitty ass recoil, stationary firing, post-firing dive delay, mandatory backpack, locked RPM, etc.
When maxigun gets AP4, all arrowhead has to do is actually just crank up HMG's numbers to be able to compete with maxigun's DPS in a vacuum. Outside of that, the HMG already has quite the utility; lower RPM means more manageable recoil, can be turned into a makeshift AMR, more mobile, you use a backpack of your liking, etc.
They really should've done something similar in principle with the GL instead of just giving GL AP4 without tweaking numbers to balance things.

I almost always take an FRV anyways, so warp pack/jump pack I don't usually take. The hoverpack is dogshit for mobility unless you want to climb somewhere inaccessable.
I don't really like the dogs because they're not very engaging as automatic kill machines, and I don't like the friendly fire issues they have.
The directional shield is beyond worthless, the ballistic is a meme, and the diaper pack is for toddlers that can't watch their own flanks.
That leaves the hellbomb which is admittedly fun, and the supply pack which ill take if I see someone with an ammo hungry team weapon. Otherwise i'm taking a backpack support weapon, or no support weapon if I think I can find one or bum it off of another player. I like working around what I can scavenge.

look man the ballistic used to actively be a detriment because like most goofy ass games with shields, when you weren't actually holding it it counted as a hurtbox for melee attacks, and also did nothing against melee. On top of there being no practical way to aim first person with any weapons but the Peacemaker because of its laser. It literally only saw any use on bots because bots was the only faction that actually shot anything at you, and even then devastator rockets would just instakill you anyways.

Gas completely fucks with bugs. Throwing a gas grenade on a bug breach makes the bugs not come out 50% of the time. Also gas can be 100% resisted with the gas armor. Great against bugs IMO.

Your game is bugging or you're bad at spot selection for your turrets. I take 1~2 auto turrets every mission. Don't take the rocket, tesla coil or the cannon turrets. Those are better on bugs and bots. Mortars are best against bots as long as there are no cyborgs(the gas mortar is fine on bugs if you have the gas resist armor). Mortars are also good on gate defence.

I got killed by a gatling sentry someone threw in a corner next to one of those data jacks in the exospire mission. It didn't have line of sight on any of the enemies getting dropped in but it targeted one of the drones coming up the stairs and mowed two of us down. Directional shield is good against bots if you equip the ragdoll resist armor. It enables you to take rockets without being knocked over and the only thing that really threatens you are factory cannons and cannon turrets which have too much force and will ragdoll you still. Flamethrower SMG has also been a pretty large boon to it since the low RoF is a non-issue because of the shield and the flamethrower helps mitigate dev swarms and offers some utility against hulks so you can afford to take typically awkward support weapons or grenades. I do agree it's garbage against other factions though.

At launch, the explosion was enough to kill chargers and bile titans. Then eventually they dramatically increased the hp of heavy enemies and proportionately increased the damage of our anti-heavy weapons to keep the shots to kill the same. Except for ops/walking/380mm, they increased the impact damage instead of the explosion strength. Why? Alexus is retarded, that's why.

Orbitals, 500kg, and Eagle Airstrike all got fucked by the big AT weapons rework where their increase in damage was all on the physical bomb impact and not the explosion. Airstrike is still good because with 7 bombs you're likely to make that hit and each still has decent AoE, but all the others had their utility massively reduced.
