I genuinely don't understand what the point of Surge and Kit are in the comic book at this point. What is the point in making an angsty rival against Sonic when they can get solo'd by pretty much the entire cast and can't actually hurt or threaten him? Ian nor Evan had any plans setup for this character and now she's just kind of....there to fill up screen time I guess. I can't even get invested in any of her stories because the comic wants me to pretend that she's some kind of cool and powerful character but Cream and/or Tails could just straight up solo her.
