Looking into builds for a DOS2 run, so far I only know I want to play as a dagger and shield rogueish undead but I don't know what to do for the rest of the party. I was thinking a necromancer and then two variants of some spellcasters for two physical and two magical characters but then nobody in the party ends up using strength and that feels kind of weird for my tism but I can't really think of a strength character that wouldn't just be a slightly different flavor of the rogue. Is there anything cool or unique you can do with a strength build? Alternatively are there any builds I can dump the strength gear I find on and get some niche use out of it even if it's not their primary attribute?

Have a basic understanding of a situation, and then make your own opinion on the matter.A lot of people in real life have strong convictions, but no understanding of a situation. They feel strongly about politics or religion or whatever topic, but their "convictions" are mostly canned packages that are what comes with a social group and they are unable to justify them under scrutiny. Or, lots of people also just have no conviction at all and don't even pretend, and just go through life with never taking a stand about anything that matters. They'll say the like good things and oppose bad things but they never actually do anything about anything.The best crpg companions throughout history are people who believed in something, and were able to back that up with some frame of reasoning, so you can have a conversation about that topic with them. Audiences don't like milquetoast non-characters that don't have anything interesting to say, and they also don't like one dimensional non-characters who can't support the things they say.Being a good character writer requires the author to not fall into either of these categories themselves, because if you are in either of these categories, you can't conceptualize someone outside of them. This is why lots of mainstream writers who don't have a lot of experience and who don't have a good knowledge base generally make uninteresting games with bad characters. The best example of this happening is bioware, where you can look at the endgame credits change as people left the company and when you look up the new people, it's young people who openly disdain the classics and openly disdain intellectualism as a point of pride. These people are uninteresting in real life, and the characters they write are equally uninteresting.

The difficulty depends a bit on what you team comp is, when you do things, and how prepared you are of course, but the alchemist isnt that tough. You do it near the end of the act meaning you actually have some levels and equipment, you have a chokepoint, you the space and time to use grease and winters grasp, grease, and create pit on them,, and you can also use scrolls and potions to buff if needed I wouldnt say the difficulty is that binary either since there are really tough fights in both act 2 and 3 as well, like shival and the ghosts in the ivory sanctum I only vaguely agree with the sentiment that the game gets easier as the game goes on
