A concept that players haven’t grasped onto yet is gear discrepancy when pushing fights. I’ve had a lot of trios whole will ping enemies with purples shields and still rush in with their green shields and low tier volt weapons with no height advantage nothing.

Make it very clear that you are going to leave and are comfortable leaving the team behind. Usually it snaps sense into the knuckleheads you get paired with who will then promptly follow your queue, since even they know they can't stay in the vault as just a pair. You should start exfilling at around 10 minutes; leaves you time to organise or get your clearance level up if you need to, and also gives you some time to fight if the need calls for it. Do not feel bad about throwing the randoms under the bus if the situation calls for it since they'll do everything in their power to sabotage you a majority of the time.

After spending close to 40 hours in the game on Xbox, I feel it is important to highlight several issues that are significantly impacting the player experience. While the world-building, story, and complex level design are incredible, it is often impossible to actually appreciate them. The current PvP environment is some of the most ruthless I’ve ever seen. As it stands, casual players like myself that never played extraction shooters before don't stand a chance against elite PvP players. It is frustrating to see such a deep narrative and intricate maps when players are rarely given the time or opportunity to complete them before being eliminated. I strongly urge the team to consider implementing a dedicated PvE mode to allow players to engage with the world you’ve built without the constant threat of high-level competitive play. You could still create maps with stronger uesc and incentivise players to collaborate instead of killing for fun. Furthermore, the technical experience on console is currently quite poor, on Xbox more specifically. When attempting to play "Console Only," I am consistently unable to find a match. I wait 5–10 minutes only to be met with a disconnect error. Why can’t I be out in the game not knowing if there is other runners. I would still be on edge and would still have to deal with the difficult ai. The only way to get a game quickly is to enable cross-platform, but this results in console players getting smashed by PC players, which creates a massive competitive disadvantage. Getting killed 10 x in a row at exfil point by other runners as a rook trying to get out was the tipping point for me to ask for a refund and dumped this game cause that’s ridiculous.

Rook runs are really interesting. In just 2 hours, I teamed up with a trio, teamed up with another rook and looted a vault, got into pinwheel by the cargo elevator and realised no one was there for the entire match, helped another rook exfil while providing him cover on the roof in a guarded exfil.You don’t see all that stuff in trios and solos, you’re usually just gunning down teams.

You have to look around the map for green keycards, they could be anywhere, I mostly found them inside buildings lying on random desks or containers. It's total RNG if you find one or not. On the map you can see the connecting brigdges to the center, if you go to one of those, you will find a door and in front of it a terminal that needs security celarance. If you look at the terminal, you will see 2 green lights on it, if you use a green card on it one of it will disappear. If you use another, it will open it up. You can use one and then hide, hope that another player uses another one on it maybe. Also, if somebody else openes even once of the doors on one side, it opens up all of the doors so you can also just wait patiently for someone else to open it from another side. It sounds super convoluted, and it sort of is. I don't like the RNG aspect of it at all.

I've been enjoying the game a lot more by playing solos and personifying the idea of being my runner and turning off the bg music. Helps make the world feel a lot more real and solemn. Rifling through a bag is just a task you'd do at any job, and for a runner it's no different than working on a spread sheet in a cubicle as an office worker. The small wins feel so much more important. Killing a UESC commander and finding a valuable stashed in their belongings like it was gathered as contraband to seal away, exfil'ing with it and finding more about what happened, slowly peeling back the mystery, becoming more comfortable with Tau Ceti, more comfortable with death as you die abruptly, mercilessly and without any kind of fanfare. Being immersed really helps the game, to the point I couldn't imagine playing fill queue with people getting off their 9-5 who just want to pick up shiny guns and shoot things while treating everything as set dressing.I know a lot of people seem to hate the game but I'm having fun with it in my own way. I hope everyone can find a way to enjoy the game.

I'm a 41 year old software engineer with a full time job and a wife and kids. I play this game mainly solo and occasionally with friends when our schedules align. I'm level 32 so it's not as if I'm no lifing the game.Last night I crew filled into Outpost and met a couple chill guys where we were able to get some cryo keys from pinwheel and yolo ran Vault 2.With some careful play and coordination, we were able to open the vault and exfil and barely even ran into anyone. I don't know if that's normal or what, but staying out of the middle as much as possible and staying out of the way of other teams worked for us and we came out with 25-30k inventories each.The bottom line is: don't give up on crew fill if you don't have anyone to play with, even if they are free loadouts. If you communicate and they are cool, you can squad up and then all agree to take more in on the next one.Get out of your comfort zone, learn how to get better each game, and have fun runners.
