It fucking happened this week guys, it clicked.I got back to back compiler traces runs.First with my homeboys where we played like demons and killed the whole lobby.And the next day very first game I queue for, I'm just going in cryo with blue shields, a bully, a zeus (!) and a dream. We lose a teammate in the beginning, run for our lives, come back to res him later, fuck over the team that killed him and then 3rd party the last team after they kill a squad.The win everything ship has given me 100k+ this rotation.My pro tips:- Move fast in your spawn wing. You need to reach control before you get flanked or your doors get camped.- If you get early level 2 consider flanking your adjacent wing.- The level 3 security breach warning activates for the first opening of ANY level 3 door, even the loot closets.- If you get into a bad engagement, immediately fuck off and rotate.- You can gamble in the bubble shield arena if you have a WSTR, but remember you're never forced into it.- If you go gambling get ready to start your self revive asap in case you trade- People aren't dead until you see their bag, clean up your downs- Keep the bots in mind, they can wipe you very fast. It's often better to make noise and kill them than to try evading them if you need to go somewhere.- Most people are as good as it gets in there, 2v3s are improbable, 1v3s are suicidal.- The compiler weapon is super bullshit, if you're in the range of the grenades you're dead.- The zeus is surprisingly good at killing bubble shields? Do the volt weapons just have extraordinarily bad hit reg or something? Dire Marsh is where a large chunk of the priority contracts land (probably over half) and it's just a fuckin nightmare for low gear crews.Cryo is cool for skilled people but isn't really a part of the loop for the average player due to the thunderdome nature of it, ranked doesn't actually keep geared/skilled people away from casuals, their postlaunch stuff doesn't really do anything to secure the lower end of players. People want PVE, they want solo Cryo, they want to not be matched against sweatlord gearkings, and I don't think any of that is realistic in the next like 6 months. Or if any of it's even a good idea, pve compromises what makes the game special, solo compromises what makes cryo special, and there's not enough people for queue times to survive stricter matchmaking. More maps in each of the layers that already exist below Cryo would be good but how the fuck long would that take?I don't know why your post prompted this sorry

This game is bewildering. 95% of my experience so far has been spending somewhere between 30 seconds to 20 minutes picking up garbage and quest items around the map only to be randomly killed in a single shot by someone I didn't even see.I'm rank fucking 50 and I've never extracted with anything worthwhile. I've never seen a purple shield. All of the "good" items in my vault are from the faction rank ups. I can't even build a good stash because I just keep getting raped with the sponsored kits.It's funny that I have these upgrades to increase the credit cap to 10 million but I don't think I've ever had more than 30k. Alright why is it so common for 4 separate teams to show up at Quarantine/Maintenance 3 minutes into a run? This shit is happening so often my trio has opted to simply wait until they shoot it out with each other to avoid the inevitable shot in the back if we try to engage early. We don't like it, but this has been a net positive strategy for us despite how boring it can be. It's almost comical on some runs where we think it's finally time to pounce, only for another fucking team to show up and start a fight.

At one point in Cryo my team moved fast and got to the door of Index and realized the crew inside hadn't finished yet. We just waited for them to open the only door they could leave through, walk 2 steps in, and shotgun executed all 3 of them with 2 Misriahs and a Circuit Breaker. Index has less potential security terminal spawns and the clearance 1 exit takes you to the most disadvantaged area in Control - that team got completely fucked by just not being fast enough to overcome the completely random disadvantage they may not have known they spawned into.Then there's the fair fight you start, and a ghost commander squad spawns in, and just happens to wander directly into you, ignoring the other crew while they continue to shoot you and you're forced to deal with NPCs effectively fuckin griefing you. Or if NPCs aggro on enemies, they also seem to aggro on you even if they can't see you, so they'll just do the caution mode fast wander and run right at you while you were trying to set up an ambush. Or the inevitable good successful ambush fight start and you immediately get shot in the back by a third crew that didn't know either of you were there and just lucked in.

Bungie can probably add in a PvE only mode without much difficulty by copying what CoD MWIII Zombies did. Just make it so that some zones on the map have higher difficulty tiers where the enemies accordingly give out more damage or have more HP. Because the maps are fairly small they can maybe compensate by randomizing the location of the tiered difficulty areas too.
