Crafting professions with rare recipes - either you buy the recipes for a ton of gold and have to sell a ton of it to make any return, or you spend hours and hours grinding the recipeThere's no "get rich quick" profession, and honestly the most useful long term profession if you intend to play end game content is you or a buddy you always play with takes alchemy (and herbalism) so you don't get ripped off buying all the potions you need for raids (or just play as a tank/healer so your guild funds your consumables for you). You don't make a ton of gold this way, but you do save a ton of gold.

Enchanting works too just so you can disenchant everything and sell those mats too.And yeah most crafting professions can cost 100-200g just to level them to 300, because they require a bunch of stupid inefficient recipes you won't have the materials for, so even just getting something to 300 puts you in the negative. But it really depends what you want out of the profession, most have SOME practical value, like some BoP recipes from jewelcrafting goldsmithing so you can wear rings/necklaces nobody else can, or stuff you can ONLY use as an engineer which is good for PVP.Just figure out what you want to do and pick your professions based on practicality, or if you want to save the most money I think it's gotta be alchemy.
When Nord hits 2 digit playercount all your Ambie characters are getting transferred there and you'll have to rename them though

Personally I don't like fishing because the fish appearing is RNG based and I have to stare at it or lose the fish (though this becomes less of an issue if you're only fishing stonescales and have 300 fishing), whereas something like herbalism you just run between predefined spots where it can spawn and can just AFK or focus on other things while you do it so it doesn't take as much mental energy, it's an easier grind.The best grinds I've found are just killing stuff in open world that drop rare things, like elementals, crusader recipe, etc. But for that to be REALLY worth it you need to have a character that can kill stuff quickly and easily, if you're some undergeared class with shit DPS you'll struggle with that.Also just by running dungeons I needed to get the full 0.5 set I saved up like 900g to get my epic mount so that was nice, but I think that's mostly just because I got such shit RNG it took so many runs to get the gear I needed (including getting to exalted with argent dawn without using the trinket at all). So it's also valid to just say "play the game" to make money from the gear that drops.

Gnome is better because their 5% passive increase doesn't require a short cast and it scales with gear, but I personally can never respect a person who plays an ugly midget just to minmax. Escape Artist is very useful in PvP too.Undead have the best casting animations and WotF let's you farm certain spots in the Plaguelands too. Dwarf Mage is good in PvP too, being able to get rid of bleeds and poisons is pretty big. Just play whatever race you like, it all boils down to minor things.

A paladin then told me it was fine and that he could sell me one for 50 gold, and in the moment I just accepted, thinking it was required, and that only made them laugh even more. Getting annoyed, I pointed out that one of the priests was just standing there not healing anyone because I thought he might be AFK, and immediately some guy snapped back at me with “who do you think you are to criticize our raid? you’re no one,” and right after that they kicked me without hesitation. It was right before Ragnaros too, and I didn’t get any loot from anything else before because everything was “hard reserved by the core members”. I later found out I didn’t even need the Flask of the Titans to DPS. I'm joining Branded's Molten Core this week end I hope it will go better!
