Kazuya and a few characters in the game are special bc they have few canned guessing situations where he forces you to choose between 1 or 0, block high or low, etc. Take the hellsweep and ff3, the classic "Kazuya 50/50" for example, if you don't know the kazuya matchup you are cooked and left guessing between blocking low or blocking high, but if you know the matchup you just sidestep left and neutralize both options potentially killing kazuya. Then the kaz player adjusts and starts doing other stuff, he adapts, then you adapt, etc.What gets people angry about this game is that plenty of other characters can force situations (usually by stances) where you can't have a form of viable counterplay besides just blocking high or low, you just have to guess between 1 and 0, get reked if you guessed wrong and, with plenty of other characters, your reward for guessing right could just be a basic low damaging punishment. You gotta get your game right with Kaz while knowing you can get killed if the opponents reads you correctly, he's classic tekken in that way and the reason why some people recommend him over other less classic, more tricky stance-guessing, pressure driven, characters.
