NTA but mgs2 is a masterwork for sure but it was created when kojimbo was in the mindset of having to create a mgs1 successor so he riffs on the concept of sequels and, while interesting, i don't think it provides much to think about if you're not an mgs1 fan, which is a category i fall intowith mgs3, you can see him having room go break away from the formula and create something newmgs1 is highly admirable for its cinematic quality but the controls suck and the gameplay loop hadn't been thought out yet so it relies heavily on scripted sequence that break the rules, you can never find the tempo for regular sneaking gameplay in 1
