And they'd have to cut most of the game before release.So for the ideal eroge Alicesoft could make, it'd be something that leverages a professional studio's advantages.A complex game, possibly with simulation elements, or at least complex variables that mimic a simulation, SR-style.Things indies can't afford: A well-made, completely original soundtrack; full voice acting by professionals; nice sprites and animations (like dohna dohna, not necessarily animated CGs like anime lilith titles, but that works too)The catch of course is: that's all pretty expensive, is this commercially viable? I don't fully understand how the RNG works but its a pretty fun sidegrade to sengoku battles BUT recruiting people is a much bigger pain in the ass because you've got way less 'free generics' and the storyline is very linear. Battles use a 'time token' system where you start out with X tokens and each attack takes a varying amount of tokens from the stack, with the battle ending either when you've killed the entire enemy side or the token counter hits zero. Killing the entire enemy side DOES NOT auto set the victory gauge to 100% and this will result in absolutely infuriating outcomes occasionally. Instead of territories having set HP via 'buildings'/fields, it has a number value that you can take/lose up to 100 per battle and like 80ish if you don't bother defending. Battles start with five units against five units that are set at semirandom distances from each othervery closeclosemediumfarvery farwith the ability to do melee at close ranges and ranged at far, and jack shit at middle. You can advance or retreat as part of your turn. The AI loves to start with a unit in melee range of your casters and get rng first turn and immediately cripple them. Overall I enjoyed it a lot but it was a total rng pain in the dick a lot. I have a save somewhere of myself on the final territory capture of the F2P 'pick a faction' mode where I was playing as the 'suicide' faction, the human village in the middle of everyone else; I ended up losing the starting territory and eventually getting literally everything else out curiosity to see if I could do it.
