This one was earlier so I guess it wins
>>563238251>tqThey'll be written by LLM long before the LLM can dynamically respond so what difference does it make?
>>563239916Devs do concept boards with google images with inevitably includes AI generated stuff = okay.Devs do concept boards including their own AI generated stuff = evil.
>Will you play the inevitable CRPG with infinite LLM generated companion dialogue? No? what would be the appeal? I want human written characters, even if they're limited in interactionI'm not interested in talking to Grok the half orc barbarian or Jeepeetee the whimsical kobold bard
>>563240124>I want human written charactersThat's what happened to Starfield. Some human writing is good, but a lot isn't. There might come a point where a character AI in game is better or as good. I wouldn't want current state AI doing it, but one day maybe.
>>563238251Neat pic.
>>563242797you know she fucks those tentacles
>>563240124Isn't there some Skyrim mod that fills in most NPC dialogue with AI generated text? For a game like Skyrim its a pretty big improvement. For a real rpg with actual writing (even shitty writing) it'd be a downgrade but there's enough sandbox slop it would help.
I just have to rantI dont hate buffing as a conceptBut I hate how higher difficulties of wrath demand you to always have heroism, shield of law, freedom of movement, death ward, unbreakable heart, ice body etc on because the dcs of enemy effects are unplayable high and way too rapidIt’s never one 40 dc mass hold personIt’s 5 at the same time. It’s 8 procs of gibber in rapid successionIt’s vrocks spawning in the middle of the round and immediately their aoe dazedSo even if you save 3 times you might fail that one time and get cc’d anywayThere is a lot of strategy earlier in the game but later on it’s literally just a buff checkDo you have death ward here? No? Then you die. Otherwise they do nothing do youIt’s so annoying to playWhen Seelah with bestow grace, charisma maxing, a high level cloak of resistance, and the appropriate buffs cannot even save consistently how is the rest of your party? You either need buff immunities or to kill the 500 hp debuffers before they can even actBut it’s not like every party member gets convenient spells ice body (without scrolls)Buffing every party member with unbreakble heart because you are facing a Nalfeshnee isn’t fun or skillfulReloading or being chain cc’d for 40 seconds by their once per turn massive aoe 40 dc spell isn’t funYou can’t realistically even stay far enough back to avoid itEarly on it’s fine since you only need a couple of spells but the list quickly grows too large and specialisedI hate it so much
The real thing is AI generated voices and people getting over their bullshit with that. Going fully voiced really constrains what RPGS can do with dialogue because it's so expensive and time consuming, but if you can let the writers click and voice it as they're writing without worrying about it you'll get back to a better place with the writing and won't need to fluff it out with an LLM.
>>563243179I doubt it, modders hate AI now
>>563243201Why did you copy my post from the last thread?
>>563244516Because it was orphaned in the nuclear wasteland of the last thread, and because I agree with it. And because I love you anon.
