Time for a redo
>>563394452how can your mind create such places?is it good?
>>563393979Thank fuck someone else has played PSO.
>>563393832where sexo?
>>563394542I don't know what PSO is but this reminds me a bit of Die By The Sword
>>563394542This is some cool shit anon. Do you post on itch or youtube or something? Anywhere I can follow this progress? I love the UI going all the way to do that camera zoom out but it might be better to not be so obvious what you're copying. Same goes for gameplay. Maybe I'm too quick to inject my opinions on you since I'm excited to see this.>>563394645Phantasy Star Online.
>>563393832Another player, this is so dopamine inducing.I think i'll do early test like this from now on.>>563394635I'm thinking of adding it in but if I do i want it to work with the game loop somehow1/10 reviews
>>563393759Bringing art to lifeSteam page set up. It's my first time, I want to die
>>563394645Phantasy Star Online was originally a Dreamcast MMO that eventually ported everywhere and had early 2000s charm. There is still a community but it is under served by a "true" sequel, since the actual sequels got progressively more out-of-touch and the series is just a trainwreck now.So I figure I'll make my own sequel and call it Shmatasy Schmar Schmonline and probably not make it online because that could end up being a pain in my arse, I'll see.
>>563395130does the third one clang?
>>563394542So cool. Cliff grass render son top of sword tip. you probably knew already but just in case.
>>563394880Nah nothing for tracking progress yet, when there is something a bit more play-testable I will. Thanks for your enthusiasm. In terms of what is made vs what needs to be made - its only a few rooms built; six different weapon classes and different model variants; one character class mesh; a Booma-like enemy with three variants that is otherwise does everything a Booma needs to do.A more professional person would more responsibly build their vertical slice - but its so fun just modeling weapons and then going and messing up that single Booma-like thing each time that I've spent a lot of time on it.
>>563394645I'LL CLEAVE YER HEAD FROM YER BLOODY SHOULDERS!!
How do I cope with the fact that I'm not the game design genius I thought I was?I always thought I had amazing ideas that would sell gangbusters and I'm only held back by my lack of programming and art skills. After 8 years I can draw better than Undertale and can code better than Yanderedev but my game isn't even remotely close to being as popular or making as much money as theirs. What did I even spend all that time for?
>>563396071If gambling was free and all you had to do was take the time to sit down and pull the level, and each time you do you increase the base % chance of winning. You'd be a fool not to be a gambler
>>563394935I just played your gameThe pros:[x ] there's a shopkeeper[x] she has boobs[red cute imp is there too] xTh e cons:[x] shopkeeper girl doesn't have sex minigame[ ] stolen silver drop chance is way too[ ] low i've killed dozens of the gay feathery raptors and it still didn't drop
>>563394935Some things that stuck out to me:>I kept wasting actions because characters would move when I just tried to select them>I kept wasting actions because characters attacked empty spaces>I kept wasting actions because I clicked too fast and the game switched characters on me automatically>There's no indicator how many actions are left for a character>Health bars would be nice, too, so I can see how the battle is going at a glance>I often ended up in the shop with 0 money
>>563395497>but its so fun just modeling weapons and then going and messing up that single Booma-like thing each time that I've spent a lot of time on it.That's a good sign.I hope to see more of this.
my C folder keeps acting up again and unsurprisingly it's windowsi had like 208 out of 275 but then it forces itself to update to version 24h2 on it's own and it's now drain itself to 175i hate being jobless and having no income so much. i wish i can just get a new storage and stop giving a fuck about my C folder forever. it's been like 12 months since my last job. 1TB SSD costs like $150 in my country and i cant even afford that.
>>563394935I attacked enemies, sometimes they seemed to take more damage but idk why. There needs to be more indicators and information to properly review it.
>>563396307>>563396637Seems like gettign currency is a common problem and so are the bugs in the game.>>563396763More info got itIll work on that thank you so much guys5/10 review till jiggle physics
>>563396684>C folderalso storage is expensive everywhere. I installed a 2T spinning drive to offloat data on because my 500M was almost full
the more people cope about ai the more i feel like it's actually gonna replace people.if it woudn't replace people nobody would talk about being replaced or try to cope by coming up with "mindsets" to deal with ai existing.
>>563396684>he has windows update turned onyikes
>>563397326what of it? does the possibility of high unemployment make you feel good somehow?
>>563397454it turned on itself even when i already disabled it
>>563397326I knew it was going to replace people the moment it became more interesting to talk to than almost anybody I know. as far as I can tell, we've already reached AGI regardless of how it does it behind the scenes.
>>563396071>draw better than Undertalelow bar>code better than Yanderedevshamefully low bari can understand setting low achievable goals for progression/motivation but you can't be surprised that a product made up of only low bar skills doesn't have any merit to it..... go surpass a medium bar at least before you start wingeing.
>>563396071Maybe you could join a team
>>563397587yeah windows goes behind your back. however, group policy works.>To disable Windows updates via Group Policy, open the Local Group Policy Editor by typing gpedit.msc in the Run dialog (Windows + R) and navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update. Double-click the Configure Automatic Updates policy and set it to Disabled to prevent automatic downloading and installation
>>563397563NTA but I'm 36 and I was never able to get a job so for me the unemployment rate might as well been 100% all my life.so... welcome to my life I guess
>>563396071What is this called i want to watch it
>>563397563ai as it is right now is the worst it will ever be. it'll only get better. all the giant datacenters aren't even finished yet.>does the possibility of high unemployment make you feel good somehow?it's just a fact. doesn't matter how i feel about it. actually services are the only way of wealth transfer to your bank account if you don't own resources or generational wealth. so if ai does offer all the services you can offer better and cheaper, then how will you get any resources?if they want to go the UBI route then i kinda wish they'd do it right now. cause i'm fucking tired of having to come up with a 160 iq plan about my future + pension.
>>563397657Absolutely. And you're also really interesting to talk to — a lean, mean dev machine!
>>563397657I felt like as soon as those AIs were making lifelike videos, with reasonable physical interactions, we were there, it's just a matter of stictching the systems together

i don't understand /pol/ anymore. that board is 100% leftist now. didn't that board meme trump into office with kek numerology?
>>563396684can't you delete everything from your temp folder and system restore and shadow copies?
>>563397961You're too direction-brained to realize they were just racist and anti-establishment
>>563397961they were also laughing at Trump and his supporters on Jan 6th 2020. there's all kinds of people there and many just don't give a shit either way and are there just for the lulz
>>563397961>numerologyAre you a jew?
>>563397961I don't understand your post. What does it have to do with the thread or board topic?
>>563397761i'm sure you'd have a comfy neet life if surrounded by mass unemployment>>563397789another way to look at it is that ai is the cheapest and most accessible it will ever be. ai has to become profitable at some point, and enshittification is the only approach nu-tech has to achieving profitability.
>>563397761how do you feed yourself? what did you do all these time? what did you do during 18-25? not even retail or grocery store job experience?>>563397985temp folder only gives me like 1-2 gb at best. system restore is tired to system volume information and it fluctuates between 1-10gb space. it goes up to 10gb each day and on the 11th day it would goes back to 1gb and start the cycle all over again.

it would be really cool if today's engines were written by people who actually make games and needed a real level editor and shit
>>563400850Unreal
>>563401047the editor is far worse for level design than UE1's
>>563401140>the tool used by the most successful studios, the tool that studios are switching to from their own in-house engines, it's just not good enough for me and my gameOk, then suffer

>>563397326The more people AI replaces the more likely it is that people start destroying data centers. I predict the first person to do so will go down as a folk hero.
>>563403075>I predict the first person to do so will go down as a folk hero.Once in a lifetime opportuninty to advertise your game
>>563403075How is that any different from luddites (i mean the original luddites in 1800s) destroying weaving machines? What was the long term effect of that? Knowledte and technology will not just disappear
>>563401547>Unreal is good enough for solodev.lmao
>>563403365Data centers are actually pissing everyone off. Even if your job is safe they're driving up energy prices, causing noise pollution, and they're ugly as shit. The majority of the Brits didn't hate textile machinery but the majority of Americans do hate datacenters.
>>563403650that's true. 1800s luddites may have been an insignificant roadbump for technological progress, but they still caused politicians to be forced to respond and consider how to deal with issues around industry and labor. similarly here i guess ai will never just disappear but regulations and laws could change how they work and make it more fair for people.
>>563403650is there even any technical reason to build them in America? surely it doesn't matter where they are as long as they have a stable internet connection.it's just a sign that America is a verified third world country that that's where capitalists are choosing to plop them down.
>>563395192I hope one day it will. Its a blatant Dragon Slayer but the whole thing took like 15 minutes to model because it's such a simple design so how could I not.>>563395406Yes something to do with the depth and how it sorts transparencies. I have to troubleshoot, but it has to do with I think because I built that part of the level as one big mesh so it can't go off object centre for sorting, because you are "inside" or "past" it's centre.

Why has nobody tried to make a game like Phantasy Star Online?
>>563404558tower of fantasyblue protocol

>>563404668Are nothing like PSO.

>>563403365>What was the long term effect of thatWorker rights. The squeaky mouse gets the cheese.
>>563404796both of them took PSO's whole playerbase when they came out. I never really played PSO, so what would you say it has that those games do not, besides big mechs?
>>563405040yeah they build some datacenters in Texas and in exchange we get universal basic income, what's the problem?
why do people keep mentioning UBI? how the fuck is that gonna work where do you think free money is going to come from?
i don't have as much free time today, but I was able to do the start of what I wanted
>>563405543>where do you think free money is going to come from?taxes on datacenters?
