Maxing the Hong Lu ring passive at all is bait. It's just like the BL passive, once you start running mediocre IDs whatever bonuses you're getting isn't outweighing the opportunity cost of running good IDs. 3 is more than enough, it cuts a turn off Hong Lu and Faust's ramp up and gives you a decent enough closing time.
Priest Gregor and Der flutschutze had an insane 1v1 when I was doing RR as a newbab and he killed my entire team. Probably my favourite limbus gameplay moment of all time but it only happened cause I was in resource debt and had barely any EGOs. Limbus gameplay doesn't unfortunately allow moments like that to arise authentically.
