The entire idea behind that backup plan was that the Liberation Army would bring them to Leazas as they advanced on the capital, but if what Aizel said actually happened, that backup plan would have been futile because Rance and co. don't have the Holy Arms on them. Like I know it's Sill who carries the things technically but Rance is never by himself. Unless Aizel meant to imply that somebody would pick them up somewhere and bring them to the capital eventually. It would have been rather easy to lie better and say "I couldn't find him because the battle was too hectic" or something.

Recently a "streamer patch" patch was released for sengoku rance, and several big english vtubers (20k+ followers/subscribers each) were playing it a few months ago. Naturally they only played it for the memes and didn't bother with the other rance games (or even getting the other endings). There's also been a push to (ironically unironically) label rance as a feminist icon, despite him being far from progressive, but that's a whole different discussion.

Fuuuck, Saya's punishment scene was pretty damn nice, definitely top 3 material for this game so far for sure. Even though I don't have a thing for the drills ohohoho look, or sadism for that matter. Lia's VA is also top tier, and while I still haven't gotten over what Lia did entirely, her dark yandere energy is just too much fun. So mean and perverted, too. I feel like it's just a matter of time before my sense of morality suffers defeat at the hands of my lust for fun.
