THIS SCENARIO LOOKED QUITE SKETCHY. I HAD BEEN SETTING UP TO GO TO WAR WITH THE WHITE MUSLIM FOR MANY TURNS AND HE SURROUNDED MY BABY EXPANSION WITH ABOUT 8 OR 10 UNITS . NOT PICTURED HERE ARE A BUNCH OF MISSLE TEAMS HIDING IN THE WOODS. I HAD A BUNCH OF UNITS NEAR HIS EXPANSION DUE TO THE QUEST FOR THE SWORD AND I PARKED A PACK OF SPLENETIC MILITANTS ON HIS MEAT HARVEST CAPTURE POINT. ULTIMATELY I CONVINCED THE CHEIFTESS TO GO TO WAR WITH HIM DESPITE HIM BEING ONE OF THE ONLY PEOPLES AT PEACE WITH HER, AND ALSO I BOUGHT THE HINDUS INTO THE WAR WHICH I THINK WEIGHED ON HER DECISION. I THINK A BUNCH OF HIS MISSLE TEAMS GOT RUN THE FUCK OVER BY FURIOSA WASTELANDERS THIS WAR ONLY LASTED ABOUT TWO TURNS. THE NEXT STEP OF MY QUEST IS ON THE WAY TO HIS MAIN CITY SO THAT SHIT IS GOING TO GET RUN OVER VERY QUICK. HORDE MANDATE AND SCRAMBLERS CAME IN CLUTCH HERE FOR REPOSITIONING AND CLEARING HIS UNITS OUT AND MY QUEST SPAWNED A HOLLOW WARLORD RIGHT ON MY EXPANSION WHICH LET ME FINISH OFF A UNIT. ALL VERY CLUTCH. ALSO MY FIRST REAVER HAS HIJACKED LIKE FOUR UNITS THIS GAME. GOING TO HAVE A THIRD CITY WITHIN 10 TURNS LETS GEDDIT

Praying 4.4 fixes some of the nu-econ. I do think they've made the game way more interesting to play it's just a shame the ai is garbage because I dont like playing against cheats to fake a challenge it's too hard to tweak the settings to make it work.

>>563824141>it's just a shame the ai is garbageBiggest issue with the game, still, to this day. It's so fucking easy to cheese the AI, it just completely trivializes so much of the game.An AI update has been my most wanted fix since Stellaris fucking began. At LEAST fix their ship positioning and overall naval strategy abilities holy shit, so fucking tired of playing ring around the rosie with enemy ships.
5th Campaign mission, with an island start. Note this is not the inevitable Tenochtitlan mission, just some random smaller islands we build up as the Mexica are moving south. Were about to betray our current masters to swap over to new overlord for land rights in a new city but well see how that turns out. I'm sure the campaign is pretty well researched so the lore is fun enough to follow along even when you know roughly how it's going to work out. Mechanically the game introduces water/boats in this one forcing you to trade over the lake while being safe from any direct raids at my islands. It's more of a trade challenge with limited wood and stone at my disposal and limited building space to actually make farms and place down structures. The challenge level seems appropriate even on "normal" difficulty, with 2 more harder options available. On this one I made an export economy with cloth and fish while importing things like stone, various foods and alcohol. You need to use the land reclamation a lot to fit all the crap the game asks you to build.
>>563834880>I'm sure the campaign is pretty well researchedWhaaat? So they didn't followed an eagle after being chased out from their lands and then peacefully settled in what would be Tenochtitlan?
>>563836491That may or may not occur in the future. Right now were just vassals. Maybe the new masters were about to bend our knees at will do a shocking betrayal that then forces us to flee to the conveniently empty centrally placed island following an eagle.
>fuck around with AI planning algorithms>get the urge to find an open source RTS and see if it worksI will fix the strategy game genre
can someone help me with stellaris mod? How do you add flat bonus pop growth per district? I tried triggered_district_planet_modifier = { planet_housing_add = @zone_urban_housing_positive planet_pop_group_modifier_for_all = { bonus_pop_growth = 10 } }but it doesn't work
>>563846928where did you add that? to urban districts?
>>563847592I tested it by adding it to urban districts, yes.My goal is to make it so resort world districts give a flat 1.5 pop growth/assembly each (with restoration enclave giving 3.0 each instead)I also tried making telepath jobs give flat pop growth/assembly too but for some reason whatever I typed didn't work with that eitherAdding job based and district based pop growth/assembly seems to be very hard to mod in stellaris for some reason.
>>563848809go look up how the old rural support districts worked and copy that. they're still in the files, just commented out>I also tried making telepath jobs give flat pop growth/assembly too but for some reason whatever I typed didn't work with that eitherthat shouldn't be too hard, just copy what roboticists do

I think it could be cool to remotely attack buildings/districts with ranged units in Civ.Imagine having a crossbowman who can attack farms from far away and you have to send someone to repair it. Makes Barbarians a little better since they can send their ranged units to deal more damage.
>>563810905i gotta recommend either lowering map size or lowering capture point density. You generally play with 8 active players right? Having so many capture points is like two to three cities worth of extra output and is gonna take a big bite out of hard mode's difficulityon another subject there is an early research node that lets you trade 1 power for 1 additional gear wheel of production in con yards - what do you think of this option? getting 2 extra production seems to not impact timing in cranking out buildings so I'm guessing that its use is in allowing one to play at a lower loyalty thershold effectively - have you mathed this out? Any thoughts?
>>563849441> just copy what roboticists dogood idea, that worked>rural support districtstried copying it but that didn't work either

>>563855751the pop growth doesn't change at all though.it should be like 100+ a month but just stays at +3-6

Stellaris Pops are so much better now. Punishing people for spam-colonizing was a great decision and also helps cull Habitat spam too. Good stuff.
>>563855880Pretty sure you're bottlenecked on housing mate. If you really want to cheat this badly change the logistical curve pop growth modifier to include a second boolean with say a double max ceiling with ai=no

>>563861063It was a late christmas present. :)
>>563852439>what do you think of this optionworthless, just having to build an additional power plant for an ineffectual bonus already offsets whatever use it might be when you already want to build shitloads of loyalty anywayseven if you wanted it you can't and don't want to spare the turns in the early game for it>outpost densityno, for both the fact that its the normal settings for most MP games and also for the fact that the biggest difficulty is always in the early game and all they do is help the snowball roll faster as it was going to anyways because the AI doesn't know how to settle without mutators on.

>>563885753the homecoming private server has been a blast lately , they did jack shit for the first 3 years or so but after NCsoft gave them the licence they have started making alot of new content ( like a new large scale raid or the mole machine taskforce) in December they added a new +5 difficulty mode to all the content in in the game. There have been alot of buffs to masterminds in the last few months as well which from this thread I would have to guess you enjoy RTS controlling 6 units while controling your character. (Mercenaries have gone from the worst powerset to the best powerset) . There are legit some of the same people on this server as there were 5 years ago when city of heroes came back so the sense of community and identity is strong which is something that stops me from getting invested in warcraft private servers.

I have been playing this game on and off for years with a maxed out blaster and scrapper but I made a fire/fire/fire blaster, the most classic set up around and have redefined how the class is played by being on a mission from god to get combat teleport nerfed. multiple people look at me and say when did they buff [inferno] . unfortunately the glass canon ultra damage playstyle has ruined playing alts for me. hit gold cap twice farming the hardest repeatable missions in the game i hope we get new high difficulty stuff. most of the community has not adjusted to all the new content and is still farming the same shit they farmed for the last 4 years. For the pure form of builder without enemies or challenge try Cities Skylines 1, sim city series also falls into this category. If you want light combat elements and bit more challenge try Anno 1404 or 1800, Timberborn or impressions games like Caesar III/Pharaoh/Emperor. If you want even more difficult style go for Frostpunk or Workers and Resources soviet republic. If you want more RTS start from SC2 and AoE2 both have good single player content, pve content and pvp matchmaking that is alive and well. You can literally play these games for years and never either be good or play against humans if you want, the single player and cooperative content is excellent anyways. For a misc strategy try Heroes of Might and magic 3 or OTTD (open transport tycoon deluxe)
>Fixed Mutagenic Habitability being capped at lower threshold than stated.its still capped at 125% you swedish niggerskalle get the fuck to it i know you are reading this thread
Warcanoe status: Corned upChiefs: Feathered and erectTroops: Ready to rowYep... it's warring time.God dam these things are expensive to build and stock with weapons and armors and the time limit is quite a bit stricter than the previous missions.

>>563953396The city promised for us. Were the naval reinforcements. Things went otherwise smoothly but the guys we are now working with just betrayed their other allies so I'm not sure how long this alliance will last.
Messing around with AI autoplay and trying to get the dates to more closely align with tech progress. Unfortunately I fucked up someplace in code that makes the game crash when loading saves so I haven't sat down and done a serious long term game with all my tweaks
>>563954639>The city promised for us.Following the fabled eagle to its cactus, as the jewess told last Dia Del Grito?
>>563955708No, that comes later.
If Civ 7 good on console or is it still a shitshow?
>>563957534It's bad on PC, I would presume it's worse on console
>>563959979I'll have to do some research
>>563803080HELP IT
>>563957534Can you even mod console civ?
>>563952053So many ressources to take in consideration in this game, I got lost right away.
>>563988090The next mission after this is the first proper macro mission where you need top tier noble buildings. It's pretty nice, almost done with it but gonna be till tomorrow when I can actually finish it.
>>563952053Am I mistaken in thinking that game is just a shittier C3?
>563991790>every game ever is just "X but Y"A true gaming journalist.
>it is just a shitter c3Alright, thanks.
>>563980369No.
>>563996345What's the point then? Vanilla Civ especially without any expansions is dogshit
I vividly remember my amazement that I was more disapointed that Niggelim were unispired (playstyle) than annoyed they were cyborg niggers and trains. For a longest time I thought the design was of the Indian outsourcing variety (it was of Argentinian one) it is so shoddy.pic rel FFS the fuck is that. Amplitards then continue the retarded design into EL2 instead of quietly retiring the cyber trains niggers.
>>563458642Time is a fuck so let me recap. Thank you everyone for your responses. An innumerable number of people are calling for Horatio to be removed and an equally innumerable are calling for Horatio to stay. I am confident in saying that there will be at least 0 and at most 23 Horatio players on the team next league, but beyond that someone suggested replacing Fish Tits with a Zephon rep (which I haven't played so I'm relying on the anons here to provide a suitable player concept, it doesn't have to have a full 3D model as images work too). If people have any other suggestions for the team feel free to share them. Otherwise pic related is the current state of the team with adjustments for the medal setup (1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, 2 bronze medals where the medal statuses are tentative and based off of last league's medals).

>watching DasTactic stream of the new HoMM game>"I am allowed to SHOW the game but I am not allowed to REVIEW the game"That is not a good sign honestly
>>564004631I'm not sure, civ 7's deluxe edition is 40 dollars. Does that have any expansions?
>>564014069no, aliens raptured 80% of mankind because they're too dumb to escape a self-fulfilling prophecy
