I know it's been said to death that bolters live and die by their headshot bonuses, and that's true, but I've gotten so used to them that I legitimately can't use other guns. Maybe a Melta or two depending on the loadout but everything else is a bolter now.

this is such a retarded faggoty way to phrase it like it's meant ot be impressive, but in reality the number is fucking sad. The game has like 10k concurrent players average, the rule of thumb for MMOs is that 10k concurrent means ~100k total users. But MMOs have users put in notoriously high playtimes so there's likely more total regulars for Darktide (since lower playtimes = lower concurrent numbers).
But even then going by 100k, the most generous estimation, this means that on average each (ACTIVE!) player put 5 hours into expeditions. I hated it and i put like 20 hours into. Now imagine how fucking low the playtime of all the non-sweats must've been. They played maybe one or two missions tops. Nice brag you stupid fucking swedes, literally accidentally releasing a statistic that proves the mode is fucking dead lol.

Also on a lesser note the little picture made me realize that tech remnants are probably meant to be a joke about how expensive RAM is now

The whole game is fucked with how they balanced things. Ranged enemies should only show up in a ratio of 1:9 with their melee counterparts with how they've balanced survivability relying entirely on melee mechanics. But instead Chaos is almost only ranged enemies and nids is a hit or miss with what you get.

People have noted that the recent patch has inexplicably tilted the spawns towards ranged Warriors, and I'm inclined to agree. Chaos feels the same as it always has, and is actually generally less annoying to deal with than massed Devourers, Barbed Stranglers and Venom Cannons. At least side-stepping is generally way more reliable in avoiding Rubric Marine projectiles than the scattershot Devourers, and sniper cultists can be killed in one shot unlike Venom Cannons who will probably force you to roll out the way at least once, and don't even fucking get me started on when they become enraged and start spamming double shots. And while you're dealing with all of this, the ground is being carpeted in fucking vines by like three cunts sitting on the other side of the level who you're struggling to reach because the Devourers and Venom Cannons are forcing you to spam roll like you're playing Dark Souls III.

It's incredible that parrying on slopes is so broken that it's one of my primary instincts for positioning. Before engaging someone in melee I always make sure to roll over to a flat surface.
"Never engage on slopes" should be written into the Codex Astartes.

I just avoid the strats with those player proximity modifiers cause they're fucking bullshit. Some of these mods really need their own ui elements, or better ones (looking at the one that makes enemies only killable by one player).

If someone leaves and you're stuck with a bot, you just get your healing permanently turned off by the one that activates when you're too close, cause bots stick to you like glue. Just outright bad game design right there.
Plus scrubs will fuck you. Sometimes I NEED to pop a stim RIGHT NOW, or get an execution RIGHT NOW, and a retard will be there "helping" me fight.
Not the type of difficulty I wanna deal with. I don't want other players to control the playability of the game for me to that degree.

The one that activates when you're too far is annoying because a lot of objectives are just better done separated, and classes like assault, vanguard, sniper, and bulwark feel neutered.
Plus iirc it fucks you and perma turns off your healing if you're last man standing, which is just puuuuuure fucking bullshit.
It's next to impossible enough WITH healing if I'm soloing a neuro + extremis frame trap squad on hard. Plus last man standings are the peaks of this game for me, and this modifier basically just ruins them.

Actually, let me elaborate. If SM3 is any less of an improvement to SM2 that Vermintide 2 was to 1 it will be a massive disappointment. I don't trust Saber to be able to deliver because they struggle to make any good decisions with SM2 and have managed to miss their stated time tables with every update since the game came out.

Saber has the perfect setup to make SM3 a genuinely good horde shooter but Russians have room temperature IQs, their game director talks like he smokes heroin, and Saber's business model is to produce as much garbage as they can every year and hope one of them makes back enough money to keep the lights on.

I wish I could say the Wings of Flame build is better than Bulwark simply being able to raise his shield and cancel out of any attack whenever he wants for free, but it's not. The shield cancel Just Works™ every single time, meanwhile Conviction won't proc occasionally even if you're colliding with the hitbox of a charging Carnifex and your dash attack has the tendency to not magnetise towards an enemy even if you're facing in their direction, meaning you won't get a charge back with Furious Strikes.
Also it's bullshit that Bulwark can generate momentum from nothing and stagger enraged majoris with shield rush, which is very useful against Devourers and Venom Cannons on a melee class (where the shield is already useful against them for obvious reasons). Meanwhile Assault has to spend an entire unrefundable charge on a ground pound to achieve the same effect because his jump pack dash attack won't make them budge even though he's using fucking rocket boosters to propel his full weight (between 500kg-700kg btw) into an enemy.

Heroic chainsword is a fun gimmick but I can't stand the balanced parry window after going back to block.
