Last tournament was a blood bath as all these girls are very strong and likely underrated to some degree while knowing each other’s playstyles very well. Xeniya Balabayeva who was 3rd board at the last Olympiad and most likely their next women’s IM lost 60 Elo in last year’s tournament and was down over 100 at one point. I don’t know if they can overtake India and full-strength China at this very moment but it seems obvious to me women’s chess will be dominated by Kazakhstan in 5-10 years.
