Ok so hear me out on this hot take: Despite all the talk and speculation, the cc changes really are changing up the "CC Rivals" stigma. And tanks haven't been affected as much as you think.

There's a ton (a TON) of people saying that tanks like Ben and Rogue are cooked because of the cc cleanse after so many stacks of it. Posts on Reddit, YouTube videos, tiktoks, etc. all from up to a day ago saying that we went from "cc rivals" to certain tanks being "useless". The issue is that folks thing thing "cleanse" makes someone CC immune, when in reality in just cleanses one form of cc. You can still get hit by others.

All day, these characters are played because in actual fights there's so much going on the point where it's barely noticeable. And when it triggers, remember: this is a cleanse for the CURRENT cc being used. Other cc's afterwards can still apply and gets reduced. So if the Things ult got cleansed on 2 people out of 5, those 2 people can still get hit with other cc, with a 30% tenacity. Imagine a Wanda bubble, Rogue knock up, invisible woman pull being done after, etc. This is LITERALLY what happens in most games.

Also in game the intended effect is happening: Tanks themselves are getting affected less and less by CC chains, which was the intended purpose.

There can't be one moment of someone saying "dang I wish there was less cc so I don't get to play the game" and then the next moment be "wait a minute, I didnt mean for you to make MY character's cc less potent".

Sure, in bot testing you can showcase a bot becoming cc immune from a certain chain combo. But in actual fights? Think of it from both sides. So much going on, and your cc *not* being the only one used.

All this is to say that there's a vast difference in what "could" happen, and what "is" happening.

What? The people that like it usually like it because Hulk doesn't JUST smash stuff. It takes nearly half an hour for Hulk to even appear in the movie which was a common complaint when it released. If you want a movie where Hulk just smashes things just watch Hulk 2008. Bruce's parents and his relationship with them has hardly even been mentioned in the more modern movies featuring him. Step 1. Just play a bunch so you become familar with how all the skills work and how they can be used. Become familiar with her basic movement reset using her double jump that resets after dashes or touching walls.
Step 2. Start being more efficient in Fortune gain and spending, so you always have Fortune in case you need it, can easily get it and on the fly know what to spend it on.
Step 3. Start using shop items skills in a smarter and team utility way. The fish and wallhack are her best shop items by far and can really help your team shit on the opposing team. Experiment with the portal to move through geo, in some cases you can teleport halfway across the map or appear from angles no one else can.
Step 4. Put it all together while trying to learn some combos to burst enemies down, alternate between diving, peeling or teamfighting depending on what your team needs.

My tips from the previous thread

1) don’t bother with the shop outside spamming wall hacks, gambling during down time, or the occasional grounding of an annoying flier.
2) try to save ur dashes for stealing money, not for engaging and disengaging. The dash cooldowns are long and you need a constant supply of money to dish out damage.
3) use your money steal whip as often as possible, and your dashes mid fight to maximise money output.
4) your goal is to use your claw whip as often as you can to get kills. They’re better than the pounce because they generate shields and are cheaper.
5) use the pounce against fliers or on the rare low health straggler because it has more range than the claw whip.
6) never stop double jumping.
7) play her as a mid range brawler and diver mix, not exclusively as a diver.
8) don’t use her ult into a group. Use it to pick off over extended enemies one by one.

The real secret to playing black cat is to study the gameplay (doesn't matter the game) of severely disabled people who have to learn to use controllers one handed so you can practice jerking off and playing at the same time

The problem is: the previous hero, the current hero, her kit, the current balancing, bad PR from cc changes, in order of importance. They wanted Deadpool to carry two entire seasons but 6.5 was so dogshit that it drained all the numbers he pulled. They started the season with a Paste-Pot Pete tier hero (White Fox) and basically already doomed this season to low numbers, and Black Cat doesn't have the same draw as a Daredevil to keep numbers consistent. Also her kit is overdesigned, she has a high skill floor, and naturally this is going to keep casuals away from playing her.

There's also other factors as she's a duelist when we just got Elsa, she's the third female character in a row, etc, but those are more of a secondary thing. Maybe PvE will give us a decent bump, but I expect the game to hit the lowest player stats ever in 3 weeks.

I played BC for a few hours last night and I do not get her. Her playstyle feels so different from any other of the heroes I've played. Trying to build and maintain her Fortune meter has maybe been the hardest part of it.

She also may require me to remap my controller buttons so that I can jump/aim at the same time. I've mostly made things work without having to do that. Man, I really need a controller with back buttons. I've thought I needed them before, but it's becoming real obvious how deficient things are without them. But I hate the pay-to-win feel of doing that.

Pretty much from the late 90's to mid 2010's, he almost always had some kind of teleportation device in his belt. It's heavily featured in his standalone game as well as other games like Ultimate Alliance 2. It was like his 3rd most recognizable weapon after his swords and guns.
