Do you guys think the series has overall done new characters well post XX? I kind of feel like Elphelt and Goldlewis are the only truly standout executions in design. Kum could certainly be cooler but isn't bad by any means. Jack-O is pure sex. Answer is a literal background NPC. But unfortunately for Giovanna, they actually tried to make background NPCs in Xrd look a little interesting which they couldn't manage to do for her, literally nothing character. Nago gets to be actually cool. Goldlewis is also just a background NPC that accidentally got a spot. Happy Chaos is sorta just alright. Unika is extraordinarily phoned in and pathetic.As for gameplay, ofc all the character's gimmicks as well done and unique pre-Strive and I think they fit the series well. You can't really say anything gameplay wise fits the series in Strive, so there's not really a point in trying to justify it.

Sol 2D low profile mostly bothers me from a consistency standpoint. Many other characters have huge space of empty air with a hurtbox in their 2Ds, but Sol gets a hurtbox that matches the animation because reasons. Obviously there's lots of moves with similar discrepancies in the game, Sol's 2D just calls attention to it every time it low profiles something.
