If I have a slot empty I just hit 1 in the direction of anything that moves, but I do enjoy spamming abilities so maybe I'm just in a minority of people who gel with it (plus hitting 1 is functionally the same as killing them anyway). Enemies do get digested fast until lv70 or something, but in those situations I don't really need my abilities beyond the occasional nourish because, you know, the enemies are already dying and not doing enough damage to tickle grendel even without the armour boost. Overall I find him to be streamlined and efficient if you're proactive enough. I will say though, the only major gripe I have with him is the collision physics on his 3 are PANTS, doesn't feel like the intended pinball experience and more like a deflated exercise ball; he has a hard landing as a SPHERE.Pity his gameplay's not well liked because his lore is great and he has some cool skins, but hey, I get to be a statistical contrarian, have fun AND perform well at the same time and isn't that the dream.
