Hi, like most twow refugees, I have been trialing different private servers the last week to get a feel for them. Now that I have played chromie for a few days I feel like I can offer a review for would be twow refugees looking for a new home.The reason I landed on ChromieCraft is because it feels similar in tone most compared to Turtle WoW. The project's core is even open source and has collaborators that aim to improve the project over time. The pacing is slower (although there is an event right now that gives you x3 exp that can be turned off). It has staged content releases and is up to WOTLK (midway I believe). The open world and leveling matters!, dungeons are still difficult and do not scale. The difficulty all around lands in a really comfortable spot, engaging without being punishing (except for the huge leash ranges, BEWARE).The part where CC really shines for me is the social interaction. I have come across players who give you gold or bags when they find out you are new. People in dungeons actually talk! The only thing where CC could improve is in its population it hovers around ~400 - 900 with a slight bump that was noticeable since I started playing.Compared to other servers like Project Ascension's offerings its a lot more grounded and not full of gimmicks or flashing tmogs that really break that immersion that as a twow refugee I am craving. Bronzebeard's dungeons are a zug fest and everyone scales which wasnt to my liking.So I am here now repping chromiecraft for more people to give it a go, its a decent server and it deserves more love.

I’ve been a well known and highly respected member of the private server community for over 10 years, I have a long track record of having been one of the best players who you’ll often find in the top guild on the server. Having seen severs come and go and play with tens of thousands of people worldwide I think I have a pretty good gauge on what people like/want/are motivated towards.
