While I was farming SC yesterday I also decided to spend the time to level up all the guns I hadn't gotten around to yet, 30 of them in total (10 about 50% upgraded and 20 of them still at level 1). In the year since weapon customization came out I had been able to fully level up 9 weapons and obviously I had started with my favorites. The problem was I was really started to get sick of feeling like I was shackled to these other guns that I didn't really want to use. Using a gun that I had already fully upgraded felt like a missed opportunity to be chipping away at leveling up the rest of them. Especially when each one takes so fucking long (47200 XP for each gun).I figure I spent about 11 hours yesterday accruing about 1140000 XP. Let's say I was playing how I usually would when I was farming medals (the only reason I usually play anymore), D10 bots, not full clearing, getting about 900XP every 15-20 minutes, it would have taken about 430 hours to do the same thing and I would have been forced to use some of these lackluster weapons the entire time. I even left 5 weapons at level 1 because I am never going to use that trash. What a fucking slog that would have been, just to get +5 ergo to some guns that are otherwise sub 40 ergo without PP armor. I'm fucking free.

For those that have played the Starcraft 2 wings of liberty campaign, wouldn't it be a good idea to give mechs the ability to slowly heal themselves up to 50% HP like the terran buildings do after being upgraded?Either some small welding machines from the mech itself or maybe some small drones spraying the mech with something akin to fire extinguishers, that way you at least get some leeway after the mech survives an encounter but not too much going past 50%.They'll never do it but it seems like a decent idea

I maxed around 3/4ths of the weapons legitimately before I started using the script that gives 10k XP per mission because it became such a slog that was burning me out. I genuinely could not enjoy the game knowing I couldn't use maxed weapons since the XP would be wasted. The only good thing that came out of it is that I have a greater fundamental understanding of every weapon in the game and how to use them because it takes so many hours to fully level them. You see, the speed differences between light, medium and heavy are not just fixed percentage differences, they also expend and recoup stamina at different rates. So not only will the new Oxygenator armors for medium and heavy have to beat the fixed percentage thresholds of weight class, they also need to have a major stamina buff to beat out B-01 and B-08.
