Was testing with dracotail branded which by itself isn't the highest ceiling deck (its up there) and I did find myself sweating more than a bit going first because of the extra advantage. Going first isn't a very likely win anymore. And the games within those turns are pretty back and forth.The caveat is that hand traps are much more centralizing now. Ash and the like are okay. Droll and Maxx C stand out even more as the going second player is more likely to draw into them. More than ever, those need to go if they go through with this change. The charmies are also in questionable territory because they aren't once per turn. A semi limit on fuwalos maybe, but it hasn't become that problematic for me yet. I think they should go through with it though. Tweak some things here and there depending on their data and feedback, but this is really something I want to see for the actual game

>>565133474>How does it play, is it fun?Pure Ryzeal these days is basically a control deck that just set up Ryzeal Detonator (multiple non-once-per-turn pops) and supports it with handtraps and maybe another generic rank 4 like Redoer or Rafflesia. Nowhere near as good as it used to be after the banlist hits (especially the field spell being banned) but it's still a decent rogue strategy. There's also Onomat Ryzeal for a more combo-heavy rank 4 deck, Ryzeal Mitsurugi because all of those 4's can make King of the Feral Imps to search Habakiri, and Fiendsmith Ryzeal because all of those 4s can make Exciton Knight who's a Light Fiend. Due to Ryzeal's strict level/rank 4 lock, you'd need to do the Mitsu/Fiendsmith stuff first before doing anything that locks you into 4s, so that's something to keep in mind if you want to make one of those variants.That being said, Ryzeal in general isn't great right now because Kewl Tune is the best deck in the meta. Good luck making one of those rank 4s you're locked into when Kewl Tune RS turns all of your level 4s into level 5s.

I genuinely feel like I'm going insane with how people react to KT because I do not in any way see how it's this ridiculous overpowered menace people are treating it as.The hand knowledge only seals games where you were already losing because of a bad hand, since they can know you have just 1-2 starters. That feels bad but just expedites what was already going to happen. The deck can't fight off if your hand is all gas for example because its endboard is at the end of the day way fewer interactions than something like VSK9 or Maliss can put up.It's borderline immune to handtraps but so have many of the meta decks from the past couple years that are full of 1 card starters and extend past multiple handtraps, if you drop Ash+Veiler into Ryzeal and they get to combo you lose even harder than if you drop that on KT and they get to it.It's that same gameplay loop of extreme consistency plus handtraps but instead of feeling unbreakable almost every time I got 2nd against the deck I feel like I have some chance of beating it.
