It's one of the leaders of simple fighters now, but because it's simplicity limits it on principle.The one thing about Rising that I feel is more Rising than any fighter currently out is the lack of problems, walls and interactions to overcome. Everything in Rising feels like it's there to allow full interaction with little hazard. 66L leads to full autocombo which leads to full CC or damage.Most every EX special in the game has an extension in the corner or leads to full damage combos with a set rotation of specials that end cooldown when you're done with your combo. Every character has an option to defense with DPs and BC. Crush exists as a way to prevent unforeseen circumstances from occurring by giving direct reasons behind why things beat other things.Everything in Rising is designed to be understandable and what needs to be done. This leads to very formulaic fights, but not bullshit ones. The only instances I see of unfair bullshit is ult skill slowdowns and BC being essentially free. This strict design ethos is also why to many people, the game can look and feel stale. Also, in that instance, a 'perfect' Rising match would be awful because no one would take risks and it would end in a 80+ second chip kill.
