I've been cooking this idea in my head for awhile.Capcom can make a "Bomb Pouch" for the weapon slot that let us throw/roll barrel bombs onto monsters, making barrel bombs mobile vectors of damage that explode on impact with a monster, instead of stationary damage points that require someone to interact with it to explode.We can also have new skills that drastically increase barrel bomb damage until this new "Bomber" class' DPS is on par with all the other weapons.Equipping this "Bomb Pouch" would allow you to carry 999 stacks of every bomb in the game. What are the actual odds that we get underwater combat in the expansion? Personally I don't think it's going to happen but if I were being optimistic I would say that the Lagiacrus hunt was a preview to test how movement would function underwater with modern monhun movement tools. The main problem with this of course is that the Flooded is really the only map with any potential for significant underwater gameplay. I think they could've made Gobul work in the flooded forest regardless, bring him back.

This guide is somewhat old but I followed it when I soloed him last year or so and it helped to just follow it step by step (one of the benefits of solo play is that you can pause to get your bearings). As high of an artillery skill you can get plus transporter and bombardier/superman/etc for food skills. I remember doing it with a mixed rhenopolos set for artillery plus some other low tier G rank gear and managing to kill him once by landing almost everything and repel him two other times when I didn't perform as well. I've also read there's a strat where you can do massive amounts of damage with the high rank Alatreon bow but I never used it so I couldn't tell you much.

Yeah, I'm starting to get why 4U CB is so glazed. Entering G2 today, this weapon just fucking shreds. Every single part of its moveset is useful, its animations are very to the point, no dumbass gimmicks needed like axe mode or whatever wilds did with the weapon. The very best the weapon has ever been and will be. Just nerf the MVs if they thought it was OP, the weapon's flow was just perfect and it allowed for different playstyles as well.

My informed take after putting 25h into this game: don't fall for it. You may get addicted to chasing bigger numbers, but at the end of the day this game is just gonna scale infinitely and your numbers don't mean anything anymore. There's no goal, there's no ceiling, it just scales infinitely until you look back at your life and regret having spent 1000 hours chasing a carrot on a stick. I made it to 12* and it's just the same thing over and over again, imagine instead of just low rank, high rank and master rank, it goes all the way up to rank 6 and then further yet and at some point you'll hit for 2 million damage with a basic attack. And then you go forge Radiant Jagras IV gear and then V and then VI and you're just repeating the exact same thing over and over.The only value this game has is that the unique movesets of some of the adventurers are cool like the aerial HBG girl, but at the end of the day this game is about statistics and numbers and not overcoming challenges with skill.
Oh, also, the roster is just 1:1 world and they probably won't have anything newer in the game until the next main installment so people are forced to buy the latest mainline entry to fight new monsters.
