It makes some sense for his character, but it's still kinda contrived.DRA 1-2 was pretty cool with this I think. The culprit was clearly selfish and took advantage of someone else's murder attempt and tried to hide it, but also subconsciously sabotaged themselves in the process so they wouldn't be able to benefit if they got out anyway. That felt much more realistic. DRA 1-4 is also marginally better at this than Gundham because the culprit literally reveals herself at the beginning but then stops cooperating midway through to let the misdirection that her boyfriend planned play out. Would've been better without that part to be honest

DR3 anime - usual flavour is always fine but the dark atmosphere doesn't help them, this is mostly just people in suits and only memorble thing is faces which just isn't much12. Gundham, Nekomaru, Nagito, Kazuichi, Mikan and Teruteru are my favourites. Mahiru, Akane and even Chiaki drag it down a bit even if I see the vision behind them. 3. V3 - what I see when I thin Danganronpa nowadays. Every character is so fucking detailed and pleasant to look at them it's insane. Almost every design tells a story and not a single cast in existence better fits the setting and atmosphere. The absoulte favourites are Ryoma, Angie, Korekiyo, Miu, Kiibo, Himiko and Kirumi. The only argument I could make for placing it lower than HL is that Shuichi and Maki while cool don't have that much detail or vibe to them and they eat up most screentime as the story goes on. Also, Monokubs are fucking awesome.2. Hundred Line - a perfect mix of V3's detailed, every-element-matters work with GD's choice of having some characters actually look way crazier than others. Kurara, Kyoshika and Yugamu all how so much to them it feels like they mixed 3 standard characters to get them, while more down to earth ones like Takumi, Gaku or Tsubasa all find a way to be memorable without screaming "cool". It almost feels like cheating to rank HL here as Class Armor gives them all even more to like with the best being Ima, Darumi, Eito, Kurara (witch flying on a shovel with a tomato jack-o-lantern is cool), Takemaru and Shouma.1. P:EG - woke pretentious dogshit of a death order full of retarded plot points and unused potential that somehow created a perfect Chapter 1 and tricked me into thinking this will be good. Bent knees to woke mob and crashed in flames. Even then designs were kino and it makes me mad we won't see more of them. Other than designs being absolutely beautiful on their own there's "echo art" to each of them that was the only good side thing they did and the animal motif was simple yet had a lot of potential for predictions and muh symbolism.
