Honestly atp I would like to hear your personal theories as to what the fuck is going on at Bungie. Besides the most obvious theory of Bungie about to be raped by Sony, they got 800 employees with at least 300-400 or so on Destiny(supposedly) and they aren't seemingly doing much. My theory is that the whole "Destiny 3 early development" leak is true but isn't entirely the case. Destiny 2 is unsustainable and producing further expansions is pointless considering the playerbase, and that leak was like around half a year ago or so now. I think the case is that the reason Destiny 2 is getting sweet FA in terms of content and news is because all of the team is desperately trying to cobble together a Destiny 3 prototype or proof of concept to showcase to Sony so they don't get raped by them and that has been misconstrued as D3 being in "early development". As for this "June Update" they haven't shown any evidence it actually exists other than words which makes me believe that it straight up doesn't exist.But I'm doubtful Sony would greenlight a D3 that would cost hundreds of millions after the current multi-hundred million dollar disaster that is Marathon. So ultimately no matter what I think they are completely fucked.
