Felt like playing after a week of break and literally nothing has changed. Every matchup I had was scoop, either me or my opponent. One time I activated Maxx "C" in the draw phase and dude automatically scooped in 2 seconds, we didn't even go past fucking Draw Phase. Or other dude normal summoned a monster, activated the effect, saw there is a delay from my site and scooped immediately. Seems like people don't even have energy to try to play through shit anymore. And I don't even blame them, when I go 2nd and have mid hand I scoop in the draw phase. The game is now just go 1st, hope opponent opens no handtraps, and opponent scoops once he sees you have full combo... Or in some cases you will get to play solitaire for 5 minutes if your opponent is willing to watch the movie to lose at the end since you will 99% have more interruptions than they cards in hand. Idk how longer this game is gonna last when we often don't even go past turn 1. Hell, often not even any single action is performed like activating a spell or summoning a monster because scoop happens even before that. Also I'm playing in Platinum 3, don't even want to know how it must look like in Diamond, let alone Master.

Bystials, cyberse free special summons etc. Even though VRAINS is my favorite season, Links were a mistake. Idk who at konami thought it would be a good idea to make a summoning mechanic which pretty much ignores levels completely, Xyz and Synchros care about levels, even fusions care about levels since some say "*fusion material* + level 5 or higher monster" and on top of that they always require you to use specific materials, not only that, attributes, types etc. nothing matters. This summoning mechanic is the sole reason why so much cards that generate tokens got banned, none other summoning mechanic could make use of them except some synchro strategies but links were the one that were the nail in the coffin to those cards. Grinder Golem would have never be banned and would most likely never even got played if it wasn't for the existence of links.

Shit like this on top of the insane grind game will keep it relevant forever.
