Act 1 is my favorite part, I include the Underdark. You don't know about the stupid Marvel-tier plot, you explore different locations (the Underdark, the crèche, the swamp, the grove...), the "plot" is simple and grounded with a goblin army trying to snuff the druids, you meet most of the companions and cool antagonists like Raphael or Ethel...Act 2 is more interesting plot-wise, but it's mostly just a dark region with a dark dungeon. Sadly it's damaged by the Shar gauntlet that quickly becomes irritating. To me the end of act 2 and the beginning of act 3 is where everything crumbles The villains are terrible, the reveal that your guardian is a gay squid is awful, the plot is basically "gather the infinity stones" (Marvel-tier as I stated), the perfomance issues are real in the city itself, you spend your time fighting with the camera because you have to travel tight alleys, sewers and other suffocating environments. There are quests everywhere which most are pointless because if you played correctly you'll reach lvl 12 very quickly. Best part is Raphael's house of hope, proving once more he is the best antagonist in the game.Act 3 really feels exhausting and bloated to me. And the urban environment really doesn't do it compared to what came before. If also feels like the game tries really hard to justify its title here, not only with the city itself, but also by bringing back legacy characters - to eviscerate them in certain cases...
