They dont have a Mark VII sadly, but I don't really think it matters because all Power Armor prior to X operates the same way.The biggest point of contention is the torso armour. Old armor came in three pieces - the big upper chestplate, the separate belly plate and a "armored diaper" that used to be the butt of many jokes, but this is a setup that inherently makes sense - the entire weight and bulk of their upper body rests on the hips which can easily be further connected to the leg armor, meaning the whole Power Armor is a functional exoskeleton.Primaris removed both the lower torso and the "armored diaper". The former is a bigger sin, because it now means that the entire upper part of Mark X, the chestplate, the giant pauldrons, the fucking backpack with a power plant that's inside of it - rest on his shoulders. I've had someone say that makes them so much cooler because it implies they have the core strength to pull it off but it's an absolutely retarded way to design your armor, not to mention it introduces a giant glaring weakspot in the form of everything between their upper thighs and the bottom of the chestplate - this is even more obvious with the Phobos armor which lacks even the little belly plate Tacticus and Gravis get. The latter, the lack of "armored diaper" honestly is less of an issue and more of a funny fucking thing which is exemplified by Space Marine 2 release memes - their body glove covered ass is now on full display, but I honestly think SM2 drops the ball in many ways, like how the codpiece and the side plates are held up by a fucking leather belt.Now the rest of the design?
