playing RE1 Director's Cut for the first time ever. chose Chris first so i can see my becca. i was very surprised to meet her in the downstairs western save room! very different game from the remake that i am used to. i keep being surprised by how much less doors there are. and i guess richard is already dead. RIP! it's relaxing running around the quiet corridors without crimson heads to stress me out. i can't wait to see how else it's different from the remake.

FF always had low sales, but it does look like KT has been satisfied enough that they bothered with a 2nd remake of Crimson Butterfly. Hopefully sales are good enough that they want to continue releasing more games in the series even if they're just more remakes. I just don't want Fatal Frame to lay dormant again, horror gaming is niche enough as it is.

The survival mechanics are what you would find in the broader survival genre so you need to eat/drink and sleep to stay alive, but ammo is plentiful and your handgun even has an infinite amount of it, literally. Chris had the same face model in 8 he did in 7 but he looks so much better because they tweaked it a lot and gave him his short, square head back.
