It would make sense for her to have water, but the way it's shown is just generic ki blast so it's unknown what her original powers were meant to truly be or if they meant for it to be anything in particular outside of foreshadowing her potential since she helps take out a super level enemy.I don't care ether way as it doesn't mean anything for her in particular and Marine will likely never show up in mainline again, and it likely got retconned as water powers, and no none on sonic team cares or knows what it was meant to be.In the end. Hell your Sonic comparison doesn’t work because he runs at the speed of SOUND and can break the SOUND BARRIER by running at super SONIC speeds. Mostly because of other characters or whatever that I associate Amy with, like Kairi from Kingdom Hearts who is the Sea to Sora's Sky, which then makes Marine's element pair well with Tails. Tails flies planes in the sky, Marine rides boats in the sea. From that perspective, Marine being water themed in contrast to Blaze being fire themed actually works, since someone like Amy is naturally the opposite to someone like Blaze. And with Sonic & Tails... If Tails is "electricity" as his element according to Heroes, then that makes Tails loosely related to "Fire" in someway. Which makes sense for a fox, 'cause of fox fire, but also contrasts Sonic's wind in its very nature even if it's still thematically linked under "Sky" and "storms" and such.
