alrighty, I now have membership. obviously a bit of analysis paralysis with all the new features. because I've never had membership, even in '04/'05 when it was 5 bucks and my mum still wouldn't get it for mefigured I'd just start simple and continue completing F2P quests, but to get to DSI I need higher combat, which means I need better equips and better food for healing, which needs I need higher mining, smithing, fishing, and cooking. >>567663718short answer: yesmotherload mine is a little tedious and its nowhere even close to the highest xp per hour (thats granite mining with 3 tick manipulation but god that hurts the hands to do for a long time) but theres a lot of good shit you want from motherload. the entire prospector set, gem bag, and the COAL BAG is basically necessary to do any sort of serious smithing trainingso yes do motherload minethen do blast furnace to make your ores into bars, then giants' foundry to make the bars into xp. again, not the highest xp per hour but has a fuckton of very desirable stuff you get from doing it, like the smithing set, points for kuvac's grog (+4 smithing boost drink youll want it later), and the double ammo mold which will let you make 8 cannonballs instead of 4, and is defacto necessary for any sort of sailing or dwarf cannon shenanigansfor fishing get barbarian fishing then sit at otto's lake and barb fish. best xp per hour. for cooking, do the shayzien mess hall in great kourend. no other rewards but good xp per hour and you dont need 100,000 cookables beforehand for it, all ingredients are providedgodspeed anon

youre getting filtered by sailing because youre doing it wrong like a fucking moronno one does port tasks unless they actually enjoy couriering stuff in which case they probably also play shit like euro truck simulatorthe real sailing content is charting activities, barracuda trials, trawling for fucktons of really good raw fish that also make really good herblore pots, and shooting manta rays and great white sharks with cannonballs for a bajillion hours to get ray barbs (for trawling nets) and dragon shit respectivelyand the sailors amuletand unlocking deepfin point at 67ish or something like that which is bar none the best easily accessible 'has everything' location in the game nowand quest contentand a bunch of other great islands with are beneficial to get access to like the charred island or grimstone
