Not only is Borislav Slavov one of the industry's good composers, but almost all of the VA work is really good and really well directed, but in addition to those is stuff like spell effects and crit sounds and the like. When you cast fireball or you paladin smite something, you get satisfying audio feedback. bg3 is a very cinematic game, it's no surprise everyone ate it up. Combing the fun crpg gamepaly and storytelling with actually really good sound and visual design is such a good recipe.Imagine if for their next game, they do those two things, AND have a well written story with no plot holes. I want to make a halfling melee in Kingmaker, I'm doing a second run through and using all the party members I didn't the first time and so I've wound up with Linzi, Harrim, Octavia, Regongar, and Kalikke. I was originally vaguely considering a Monk (scaled fist so I can use Halflings Cha bonus) but I think Small Monk is like extremely bad right? I want to be Chaotic Good so I can see dialogue I wanted to check out too which isn't ideal for Monk. I've been playing with Fighter, debating maybe trying out Aldori Defender/Swordlord to make full use of the dex+cha and cautious fighter? I've considered Sacred Huntmaster too or something else with a big animal companion since I think it would achieve a lot of the same thing I want here. I don't wanna respec the companions to anything wildly out of character so nothing like making Linzi a Sylvan SorcerorBeside melee options I was originally gonna make a Grenadier until I realized Regongar would literally be alone in melee which seems like an unideal party composition.

And I am done Ebbing, this game was honestly really fun. It's shorter than disco elysium... I think, but it was very very enjoyable. I'm not one for writing dissertations so this might be amess, but I can say it mostly did everything rather well. I wonder if the game will have a sequel or something, given the little 'dialog' by the writer at the start and at the end. I'd certainly hope so but there are soooo many variables if that were to be the case, still though, great fun.I recommend it if you liked disco elysium and don't enter a frothing rage at characters (and your attributes) having opinions on shit, the game talks about politics (in-setting and all sure but still) a lot, but it only felt preachy a little bit, then again I went for an INT/WIS cleric.So yeah, awesome game. The talks with everyone at the end were real cool and cute, I liked the NPCs a lot, although a few were a little... not very present, just little guys who do a thing or two, still though.I can definetly see that they wanted this game to be bigger I think, you get a ton of consumables and money but I never felt like I was in need of much. Some spells I also never used.Also the time limit is fake I'm pretty sure.Cute women in this, too bad I couldn't woo the goblin or the dark elf, but I guess your character has his own type so the girls you can woo make sense. Cool little game.
Oh yeah I forgot, I wanted to say this as well. The game has a fuckton of conditional stuff for your DCs which I really appreciated. Disco had like... not too many I guess?As far as I recall at least. I remember when it happened when turning off the freezer or whatever and I went "cool" but it didn't happen too many times after I don't think, but it's been a few years.Nearly everything you do in this game affects your dice, which I find really nice. (sometimes it affects it negatively, too)

I wouldn't worry too much.There's a way to basically remove sleeping though, if you want to minmax that bad, but I saw no need for it. Finish lichhouse blues quickly and pick the feat that makes you immune to damage in exchange for taking exhaustion instead, healing becomes able to remove exhaustion. Boom, sleep is now no longer needed.But really, trust me, the timer isn't that big a deal in the long run.
