Thread is going so fast so I'll just leave some spoilers here. Ch 7 is roots, under the lake. Ch 6 is two dark worlds, starting with the hospital then moving to the shelter. There's more than one knight, specifically Dess and Carol both don the shadow armor. Vessel appears in Ch 7, and is prominent in Side B where Kris is too weak to go on so you hop over to the vessel.

Tempering my expectations about how the proceeding chapters are going to play out. With just two chapters left, I don't think there's time for clear answers about every single thing we've been wondering about (e.g. Gaster). I would bet the stuff about the Roaring Knight and what happened to Dess is resolved, but Toby has cited David Lynch as an influence before - it's entirely possible the main plot points get answered but the broader mysteries are left to interpretation.

Can I get a general over-under on my interpretation of the chapter 5 ending?I've been seeing people say that it's at least not as dour as the Ch4 ending, which just makes me think someone isn't paying attention. (not to get all media literacy on you, but sometimes it has it's place)Ch5 all around just felt off. It felt like the characters were trying to force their way into a fun adventure instead of actually being on one. Ralsei and Susie in particular just seem like not themselves this time around, and that comes to a head in the ending. The whole game, but especially this chapter, we're given the impression that Dark Worlds in general are meant to be ephemeral, yet meaningful. You go there, interact with the Darkners and grow as a person, then you seal the darkness away, having grown from the experience, and everyone lives happily ever after. Ralsei even calls himself and all other Darkners illusions that they shouldn't care about. Flowery implies that even the Castletown fountain needs to be closed at some point just like any other.When I got to the ending first time, I thought we'd have to lead her to her apartment on the east side. So naturally I went everywhere except that. The moment Susie slinks inside the closet and says "Thanks for walking me home Kris" hit me like a truck.The way I see it, this is Susie essentially giving in to whatever the prophecy said would happen. Whatever tragedy Ralsei was trying to steer us away from seems inevitable now, and Susie is (consciously or not) trying to make the most of what time she has left. Worse still, Ralsei is in agreement. It's why he prays so much. It's all he can do. He owes it to his second real friend to make her as happy as possible while they still have the time. He's not even objecting to bringing Noelle into the equation. (depending on what was said, this could also be a pivot in a desperate attempt to course correct the plot.)

Something about this chapter feels off. Like a lot of things were afterthoughts or they forgot to put certain dialogue in.

The way I read this chapter, is that Kris wants to give Susie one last good adventure, and in a way, the game is giving the player one last fun chapter, we got orange soul and purple soul attacks, fun human forms of the souls, etc. I dont disagree with anyone having an issue with how light hearted it is, but I think the intention is Kris wanting to give a fun adventure for susie before she dies
