Please call me a fag if you think I'm wrong, but chapter 5 Side A felt like the first Deltarune chapter where I don't feel rewarded trying to engage with the work beyond a surface level playthrough. The flowers are kinda Undertale fanservice, and they're kinda a symbolism device for the Lightners in Asgore's life (or they're mostly Kris?), and they're also their own unique family of individuals. It's hard for me to extract specific stuff from them that is sorted out from one of these categories vs the other. So they just end up being the flowers for me, besides Aqua. There were no "esoteric" scenes or sequences from my memory. The closest is the dog room I guess? Nothing like the 1225 Easter egg in chapter 3, or a ROOTS section with creepy music. Despite being filled with flowers and roses, we did not learn anything about, say, the Thorn Ring.
