Flowery wasn't likeable at all in the beginning so I really didn't think he was ever going to be the "nice guy that betrays you". And for the yaoi fear...I'd say you can thank the localization because it took lurking in the internet to even see that as a way to interpret the protag/Aogami relationship (I just self-insert as the protag and saw Aogami more as father/bro, especially since the former didn't have a default name to distance myself from). Last three things to note is that it does have a demo, goes on deep sales (right now VV + dlc is $21 until 8/24, and the dlc is just a couple of demons + farming options, the demi-fiend thing is baseline in VV), and still has Denuvo (if playing it on Steam, Switch probably more expensive but no cancer?).
