Here gipity decided to bind the shield/gun hands to the virtual hands in a toggle system, so if you toggle off you can touch things in the cockpit, but also move your hand and rebind so the 'real' robot hand is in a different pose relative. Kind of weird but it's growing on me. That plus the 6dof movement kind of reminds of the ded Space Junkies game's sword/sheield, which was actually fun, shame it died of mismanagement/weird ubisoft drama.

It's not perfect, but it is very good for PCVR unless you want to gamble on one of the chink options, whether that's PFD or continuing to be a waitfag for the Pico Swan before committing.

I can push my bitrate down to like 100 mbps within VD to minimize the latency penalties of using AV1 encoding, and the only substantial artifacting I notice is gray banding when looking a 0,0,0 black screen like the void when you're loading into the pool parlor in VRC, while regular dark scenes still look fine, and some small shimmer in the periphiral because VD doesn't apply a blur like Steam Link does. Steam Link looks even prettier because the hacked API made by the community pushes super resolution within the foveated region, but has some issues atm. Funnily enough, I was reading today and there's a Valve dev in the community discord that's working on making Steam Link work for the XR and he wants to piggyback off their work.Face tracking also works super well, it's issues lay mosty in how it does the tracking universe; VD and AndroidXR combining their shitty programming to be fucking miserable at points, which is why I've been following the Steam Link apk development; and a lot of very basic QoL VR stuff like room boundaries
