You can star up the character which gives barely any stats and is generally not even worth the gold it costs. But at 5 stars you unlock their yearning which is also not worth much. But then if you star up their yearning you get unique passives that can be extremely strong. Joannes is very strong.You need 115 total certificates to get their yearning 2 and an on-banner duplicate gives 20 certificates, while an off-banner dupe gives 10 certs.So going for dupes is usually more of something you should only do after you know for sure which apostles you want to heavily invest into, and after a while spooks will get you halfway or most of the way to getting a bunch of yearnings making it easier to decide. But Joanne's is strong and she's a strong character, and as an eldyne if she did end up being powercrept she'd likely get buffed one day like Epid has done in KR. And she's double personality which makes her even better to invest into. Also in this game spooks are more likely than on-banner pulls which if you're missing a ton of apostles are something you want to get anyway which means you need to just spend your gems somewhere. Though the personality banner can be better for unlocking new apostles.So if you like her a lot then yeah.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Trickcal. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of unc nostalgia most of the jokes will go over a typical player's head. There's also Trickcal's deceptively cute outlook, which is deftly woven into its characterisation- its personal philosophy draws heavily from the existential traditions of the World Tree, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Trickcal truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Erpin's existential catchphrase "Bread," which itself is a cryptic reference to the ancient culinary philosophy of Elias.
