RebirthAnon here (just started going through the game, after all this time)
Several hours in. World just opened up. Some early thoughts:
Love Queens Blood, fun side game. The game is noticeably glitchy and janky-feeling compared to Remake. Thats the price for open world. It was great to have Remake's polish but its also nice to see the flip side with this open world. Change of pace, feels different. Im enjoying the bloat content so far. I think its valid to complain about the MMO sidequests and big bloat, it does make things feel less iconic. The original FFVII was all iconic moments, and now you have a bunch of useless crap inbetween every moment.
BUT, I also enjoy this tradeoff. You have more reasons to linger in each area, more reasons to spend time with these classic characters and even new ones. I feels like chewing your food extremely slowly so you can really take it in. Its a very strange feeling seeing each area blown out with more detail and sidequests and other stuff. I enjoy the discovery of it, even if it comes at a cost. So overall, I do enjoy the MMO stuff, for me the biggest issue is just the time jannies / multiverse bullcrap. I just dont like it. I dont know where they are going with it in this game but guess Ill see.
Oh, also, love the music.

I realized earlier that Final Fantasy girls have been so unsexy for the past 20 years that Genshin, the literal CCP game known for its aggressive censorship of slecifically the male gaze, still has series girls than any FF girl in the past 20 years, maybe even longer.
