Slip and slide and kick things a lot. Use your special arrows to synergize with whatever element(s) your teams have. Explosive Arrow might as well be your strongest skill. Tarring + Explosive Arrow is an easy combo that doesn't rely on your team. For knocking down bosses, use a combination of Spiral and Deathly Arrow and then when they stagger, run up to them and drop kick them to bring them down. If you go Warfarer Fighter + Archer, you can honestly make do with just 1 Archer skill. I'd pick either Explosive or Deathly Arrow. Archer's core skills are pretty good though, being able to plink things with a bow and access to a quick knockdown move with your jump kick, and a "charged attack" arrow with your right stick.

Can confirm Unmoored Lost Rites are basically impossible without DLC gear. The normal enemies are no big deal but Evil Eye takes literally no damage from base game weapons.

Some of the Lost Rites dungeons in the normal map also have water blocking off some paths so Unmoored probably unlocks these side paths. But then when you are ready, you have to beat the base game again and get back to the Unmoored World.

Maybe its just early game weirdness but starting on hard mode feels really weird. The exp and discipline feel scaled weirdly, where I hit 17 super fast and have almost capped my vocation before hitting Vernworth. Basic goblins were scary for like 30min but then became a joke because I got 10 levels in that time. Then I meet a hobgoblin and he just oneshots me, or if I try to block he oneshots my stamina meter. I come back 5-7 levels later and he's a pushover.

I promise I'm not trying to troll, but I keep bouncing off of this game despite liking DDON. I wanted to like this game but I don't enjoy playing with NPC helpers which I know is like the whole point of the series. I prefer playing action games solo, but the experience sucks for every vocation except fighter and thief since they actually have mobility and defensive options. Thief most of all thanks to the double jump and quick step. Maybe this is the monster Hunter enjoy in me talking, but I feel like every vocation should have a universal dodge roll at the very least. Hell, even DON understood this as pretty much every vocation there has some kind of defensive or counter skill, like alchemist for example. I was really trying to get into Mystic spearhand but locking things down and spamming isn't exactly all that fun. I installed DD2 mobility mod and the solo experience is so much better now. Am I missing something though? Do you guys have any tips for trying to play solo? Or am I just barking up the wrong tree and I should go play something else?
